I'd love to give this place 5 stars, because I absolutely loved my time here. We were staying at the Centre Parcs, which is barely a 5 minute cycle ride away. We booked the Zero to Hero course (me and my 11 yr old son). It was easy to book (I made an error in the booking and they sorted it out with one email). We turned up on our first day, and it wasn't clear where to check in, turns out it's the bar (at least it was on that day!). Once we had checked in and they found out reservation we were given a wrist band each and told where the lockers were and to get a buoyancy aid and helmet (and wetsuit if needed). Then the guy asked for our shoe size (EU size!) and selected a couple of boards (after asking if we wanted to ski, board or knee board). Then it was straight down to the cable - now, what they didn't mention then was that their beginner cable was out of action, so we were straight out on to the 'Pro Cable'. A little harder 🤔 A quick bit of instruction and (embarrassingly) I was up and going the first time, which made a change 😂. My son found it a lot more tricky (he was waterskiing fine last year). It took him quite a few more attempts, but he kept at it. We did the same the next day as well, but when we got to the bar they sent us back to the office at the top. We had the weekend off and came back on Monday - now they had the beginner cable working, so my son had a slightly easier time, although the last corner is pretty tricky for beginners! It was also a lot busier than the pro cable, so you have to wait between each attempt quite a bit more. But the guys operating the cables were great! I really had the hang of it now, and my son was getting more consistent. Came back Tuesday, I was hoping to get on the Pro cable, but had to stay on the beginner, despite having done that unknowingly for the first 2 days (and the pro cable was very quiet). We enjoyed it so much we both booked another session - 2 hours on the pro cable for me and 1.5 hours on the beginners for my son - booked via the Centre Parcs app (and also via their reception as the app messed up). So the next day we stopped at the Cable Park office to check in, I'm not sure what happened but they gave us the wrong wristbands, and then after we got that sorted out, in the bar(!) we had to wait an hour for the next sessions. But, all was good once we were out again. The guy on the pro cable gave me good advice on how to tackle the jumps. I managed to start landing them after my 3rd (or was it 4th) attempt. Crashing on those can be a bit painful, you definitely appreciate the helmet! My son had a rocky start, but he and the coach kept going and he was doing circuits at the end. We both had huge grins! So, the bad bits. It's a bit disorganised. Office and/or bar? The bar can be busy and the staff serve drinks and check people in (but they are very helpful). The place does need a bit of a sort out. The most dangerous thing was the beginners cable pontoon - they hadn't finished installing the safety railings, so these were left scattered everywhere, as we're various other bits of equipment. So you were most likely to be injured by safety stuff! It didn't give a professional feel to the operation. They were also having trouble with both cables, but the guys were usually very quick to resolve the issues. There was a noticeable difference on the sunnier days on how busy this place became. There is also the aqua park with the inflatables, and when this was busy the bar and the terrace area was packed with people, but the number of people on the cables always seemed reasonable. So I like this place for the friendly and helpful staff, both on the cables and behind the bar or in the office. I also really enjoyed learning to wakeboard - I never thought I'd be doing jumps on the 5th day 😁. I also appreciate how good the staff were with everyone - always giving positive advice and help. And it's always great to have a decent beer at the end 😉 It just needs a bit of TLC to...

We visited Terhills Cable Park today with 33°C — perfect weather for some water fun! The park offers different options: kneeboard, wakeboard, and waterski. As a first timer, I only tried the kneeboard, but it was a great experience and went surprisingly well. We booked through Social Deal, which made it very affordable. We also took the beginner course, which I can highly recommend: only 6 people in the group, very relaxed and personal guidance. Later during the regular sessions, there were 20+ people, so it definitely paid off to start with the course. Overall a great day out, especially...
