•Recently most of the village shops (only) became pet friendly but there are no restaurants where you can eat with your pet!! Restaurants with tables outside are not equipped with heaters for winter days so the only option you have left is to buy a €7 small hotdog and eat it on a table outside in cold weather. We were really upset after driving 1hr from Brussels because of their new pet friendly advertised village. I went to the information office and they indeed are aware of the issue and working on it. In the meantime do not visit this village with your pets 😔 •Some shops are not pet friendly too (even for small dogs that you can carry in your hand) while they let parents leave their kids unattended touching clothes with dirty hands and misplacing items. •The village is not really big however there is a decent selection of shops. •Check prices before paying the outlet prices. I had kept note of some prices from shops in Brussels and waited to check the prices at their Maasmechelen outlet shop when they got the collection there and sometimes there is no real discount. • Most shops will also have the latest collections obviously with normal prices no discounts. • During covid only 1 person per household was allowed in shops. This caused many to wait outside next to the door! Funny that overcrowding was happening outside while the other person was shopping all alone using chatting apps to be able to get a feedback on items from their partners. This had resulted in longer queues as people took longer to shop. • Restaurants were care closed during covid. Crowded corners with people eating snacks standing was allowed. Prices of food from the little snacking stands were more expensive compared...
Read moreSo 30 minutes into the country I realized how bad drivers are them.. However, getting to this outlet and I have to say, this is the worst place i have ever experienced. And i have been to loads of other countries. Started from the people and the staff there being extremely rude, full of them selves, looking down on the others. To the prices exactly the same as in the original website. However, lying that from 400€ down to 180€ when 180€ was the original price on the original website. 95% of the items there are exactly the same price you will find on the website. Why is there a outlet for? Really old items, really nice looking place but very small place aswell, one toilet for changing baby Nappies , however everything about a changing baby’s nappies was the sign on the door, because inside was not a single place to put your baby on. Ridiculous. No parking, however you would have a few places reserved for VIP, that alone would tell you how arogant and rude people are in there. Also food locals are also missing. And as i said, just a few locations. Very small, crowded, rude and really old and ugly stuff. However without any offers. Just lies about the previous price. Its such a shame for how beautiful that country is, and that place. But the people there.. Me, my family and some friends we taking in the consideration to never visit again that country. I rather go to Netherlands instead where a less good looking country, but very friendly people , very respectful and way more stores with lots of offers and...
Read moreVery cozy and nice place to shop and chill. It’s unlike all the chaos in Roermond outlet, but much more a relaxing vibe, but yes, way much less brands and stores. Still, I spent much more time here than in Roermond outlet as it is a very comfy place to sit and have a drink. However, as a sales associate who worked in Roermond outlet for almost 3 years, ranging from Nike to Ralph Lauren, employees here really need a proper training to learn customer service and experience. Not many stores says “hello” from any stores once I stepped in, which these kind of gestures are very common if you go to most of stores in Roermond. A blonde young lady in Micheal Kors was being super impolite at the cashier (she was at the cashier the whole time, so there is no beef between her and me during my shopping process and the ladies on the floor are very nice), she seems like have no idea how to work properly. No greetings, no smiles, no thank-you; while I have done all of those gestures. I was quite annoyed with her attitude and gestures, especially after I spent so much money there. I am sorry to say, she should be fired. I wonder how she got through her probation period. So, if you are someone who is a big shopper, who put emphasizes on customer experience and service, you should go to Roermond outlet. But if you are more a chill person and just want a nice day off with a bit shopping, you should come here. The food here in the restaurants also tastes better. FYI, the parking is free here while Roermond outlet costs 6...
