Nos sorprendió esta iglesia, es muy bonita y el señor que te atiende en la puerta estaba muy contento pues la gente no entraba a visitarla. Nos amenizaron la visita con el órgano y puedes disfrutar de un tríptico de Rubens.

Over de oorspronkelijke kerk uit 1236 in gotische stijl is enkel geweten dat ze als parochiekerk werd voorzien maar waarschijnlijk verwoest is door de stadsbrand van 1342. De huidige kerk werd gebouwd tussen de 14de en 16de eeuw in Brabants Gotieke stijl. De hoogte bedraagt 72 m. Prachtig zijn het Middenschip , het Hoogaltaar , het schilderij drieluik van P.P. Rubens en de mooie lichtinval op zonnige namidagen. Grote delen van de kerk werden verwoest op het einde van W.O.II. Nadien volgde een restauratie in 2 delen waarbij spijtig genoeg vele wandschilderijen werden vernietigd. De enige nog overblijvende en heden nog te bewonderen is die van de Parabel van de Verloren Zoon. Zeker het bekijken waard en historisch...
