Always a great choice of concerts and events. Warande competes with the art houses of the big Belgian Cities, actually even leaving many of their bigger competitors behind. Only one practicality to improve. After an event all the visitors leave the adjacent park house to take their cars home and everybody stands in a 45 min cue to pay for their ticket. Because the exploitation from the park house is a separate private exploitation, I still give 5 star rating. But be aware to park somewhere...

Op 25/6 organiseerde de Warande een theaterstuk in Merksplas. Op de afgedrukte tickets stond 'Kolonie Merksplas - Nijverheidstraat' (zie foto). Geen huisnummer. We kwamen er tijdig toe. Kolonie Merksplas is een museum, de Nijverheidsstraat kent vele vertakkingen ... Er stonden geen borden aan de afslag van het domein waar het stuk doorging. Nergens in de buurt wisten ze waar het theaterstuk zou doorgaan; noch in Kolonie Merksplas (tiens, staat in hoofdletters op ticket), noch in de gevangenis, noch in de kerk. We moesten uiteindelijk terugkeren naar Antwerpen. Ik heb maandag 4 "medewerkers" aan de lijn gehad, met de traditionele ik-verwijs-u-door-naar-mijn-overste-uitleg. Ik heb meer dan een halfuur gebeld om te horen dat er na de aankoop van de tickets een mail mail werd verstuurd (niet vanuit de Warande zelf, wel een medewerker 'Lien van Ballaer') met daarin een wegbeschrijving. Afdrukken van je inkomticket en afgaan op het adres op dat document is blijkbaar niet voldoende. Je kan later nog een mail ontvangen met daarin de JUISTE info. Hoofdargument van de medewerkers = "Nijverheidsstraat is toch niet onjuist?". Uiteraard gaat het ons niet om de kostprijs maar om het principe. Bij de Warande is men liever oneerlijk en neemt men u voor de gek. Hoe kleingeestig kun je zijn om tickets niet terug te vorderen of geen andere tickets aan te willen bieden?
