This review is for those considering a day pass... I booked a day pass for $110 with high hopes, but was sadly disappointed. I could not believe it, but it's true that you can't even use the hotel towels for that price... The place was pretty with a lot of statues, but it was very dated and a bit run down, in desperate need of updates/renovations. The beach was nice, but the stairs to go down were old and worn and sometimes crooked. There were also areas of the beach where you could see broken concrete. The beach loungers were supportive, but again, some were broken. I'm sure this place was beautiful when they first opened... I assumed I would not encounter food issues as other reviewers had since I was not subject to a time constraint. Unfortunately, I was wrong... the free 2 course lunch that comes with the day pass is the bare minimum. First of all they have 2 different menus. If you're visiting with a day pass, they won't even let you see the other menu, not even to order food and pay for it. The day pass menu is so basic, consisting mostly of sandwiches (that don't mention fries or sides of any sort). I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was literally only seasoned with salt. They did not include the vegetable it was supposed to come with or even tartar sauce... just fish & chips, literally... we ordered the sherbet for dessert that was supposed to come with cream and fruit.. we never even saw dessert & of course the restaurant conveniently closed once we received our orders. Other customers who were staying at the hotel were also dissatisfied with their food/orders... Cambridge beaches let's you use their facilities for free with spa service, willowbank, grotto bay and many other comparable resorts offer day passes for a fraction of the cost. I thought at least the food and service would justify the hefty price tag to spend the day at this resort, but it's really a complete ripoff!

First off the beach is amazing here. Beautiful soft white sand with ample chairs and umbrellas to choose from. The water is crystal clear blue and you can find colorful fish swimming just a few feet from the shore. The rest of this resort is pretty average. We had a beach front view from our room which was spectacular but the rest of the room felt run down. The shower barely had any pressure which made cleaning up from the day at the beach fairly difficult. I wouldn't say the rest of the room was bad but it definitely wasn't great. The staff was super friendly when we interacted with them but getting their attention at times was difficult. We tried calling the front desk a few times to schedule a taxi and such but were always meet with a busy signal. Going to the desk itself usually resulted in waiting for a group or two before us to be handled. The beach service was lacking as well. They would come around maybe twice a day to take orders and even trying to flag them down was an issue. The lunch items we did order on the beach were quite good. We only ate dinner at the resort once and that was enough for us to not go back. We went on a Thursday night where the a la cart menu was replaced with a BBQ dinner. What that actually was is a very mediocre buffet style dinner that cost $50 per person. The rest of Bermuda is very expensive and that's pretty average price per person if not slightly more but that was our worst dinner of the trip. I'm slightly torn with this review since we really enjoyed the beach and that's where we spent 90% of our time but the rest of the experience could have been much much better. We only spent 3 nights here which was the perfect length. If we stayed any longer this review probably would have been a bit lower.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The resort is on the smaller side (which was great for us - less people!) The staff were always super nice and helpful. Shoutout to Noah who took orders on the beach! The food was also good. There is only one restaurant (website makes it seem like there is two). One day, lunch was a buffet, because of a large group visiting. I would avoid this in the future. The food in the buffet was OK, but it was super expensive (more expensive than their normal menu) and did not think it was worth that price. Their normal menu items were great. The drinks were also on point. Again, there was only one bar (when the website mentions two). It looked like they were building a beach bar, so maybe that will be an option soon. On their website and social media page, they keep mentioning renovations. Our room was not renovated and was still outdated. It was clean though, so it wasn’t a big issue for us. Just fyi, water on this side of the island is a little more choppy (the reef doesn’t extend out as far) so snorkeling wasn’t great. The water was a bit murky. We did still see some cool fish, but the other side of the island has better snorkeling opportunities. If you just want the beach, this is great. There are some rocky bits, so you’ll need to be careful. The public bus is easy and inexpensive, so you can always travel to other parts of the island.

Absolutely delighted with this hotel… I was very worried as had read several bad reviews…. However. The hotel has really turned around since those. The renovations seem to be finished. We had a beautiful room.. literally a stones throw from the beach. The room was all new and fresh. Excellent bed.. it’s was huge! Aircon a bit noisy… but hey, with everything else so good it wasn’t a worry and you get used to it… at least it worked! The pool area is lovely and very quiet. The beach is just beautiful. We had the most amazing poolside service from two fabulous guys, who worked so hard running up and down to and from the beach and pool every day to bring snacks and drinks… Nicholas and Noah, you were absolute stars! 🌟 ALL the staff are so friendly and helpful from the lovely cleaners, the lady at breakfast service (which was great) to reception calling us taxis as and when. We genuinely had the most lovely relaxing stay. It’s a 3 star hotel… I think it could easily be a 4 star. It’s the cheapest in terms of location and views… they really are something else and you’re just a 15 min taxi ride away from Hamilton. We’d definitely stay here again 💕

Location: The resort was centrally located, which made it easy to get to other parts of the island. Another plus, re location is that the resort was super close to Hamilton City, from where many excursions departed, and much night life occurred. Beach: The private beach was a nice touch— nice sand and no crowd. Beach chairs and towels were complementary, and the water was purely beautiful. The device down on the beach was slow, but available, nonetheless. Food: The main drawback was the food... it was simply awful and over-priced. The Caesar salad was probably the best thing on the menu. I’d recommend planning accordingly to ensure you’re able to eat at alternate venues during your stay. Staff: Carrie, one of the front desk staff persons was amazing.. super personable and knowledgeable. Another one of the women was the complete opposite, and she forgot to call for a cab EVERY SINGLE time one was requested. Rooms and Environment: The atmosphere is a bit antiquated; the property is definitely due for renovation. Price: The price was a bit more affordable than some of the other resorts, which was nice.

This was the worst vacation I’ve ever had! I’ve been to Bermuda many times but this was my first time here and my last. My ocean view room was full of ants, counters, showers, everywhere. The room was outdated but the worst of it was that outside my ocean view room were toilets! The loud music playing from the workers next door wasn’t the way anyone would like to wake up on vacation. Food was absolutely horrible. It took anywhere from 30min to 45 min to get food and it wasn’t seasoned at all although prices are very high. Unreal. I had to move the bed just to plug in my phone to charge. Just awful! One of the women who worked the front desk was short with me when I needed help finding a place to eat because the one restaurant there was only open at certain times. She told me to download an app like I was from around there and knew how to use it. I didn’t and ended up paying for food from too far away and it cost me $60 for a small meal due to travel.
