Cambridge Beach House 1786 — Attraction in Somerset Island

We took our grown children and their spouses to Cambridge Beach House recently to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with every aspect of the trip and our accommodations. Cambridge is a little remote but was perfect for our family to get away and recharge. We didn’t rent a car as we simply walked briefly through a tunnel of flowers and vines to a private beach that was adjacent to the Cambridge Beaches Resort alfresco dining facility. 4.5 stars BEAUTIFUL!!! Historic house, awesome atmosphere and grounds! Very relaxing. Bedrooms air conditioned, nice breeze most of the time. Access to beautiful Cambridge Beach less than a block away. Beach was absolutely gorgeous!! Bring snorkel gear. Nine of us there for Mom’s 81st Birthday. Grocery store half a mile away. Convenient to a lot of things! Great time by all! Only thing... reserve for minimum number of people. Mom made mistake with reservation and reserved for more and should have been refunded difference. This place is amazing. The house is the perfect blend of comfortable, and luxurious. The front porch is amazing for both relaxing on the couch and having a family dinner around the large table. The kitchen is fully setup, and has everything you would need to cook up a feast! The host is extremely helpful and there is a world class restaurant next door, a grocery store and corner store just up the street. Not to mention a beautiful beach just around the corner.
