The park is really nice, but I wouldn't go back here again. The park mafia is there. We paid 20 reales each for entry, it's fine, it's standard practice. We were also warned that because we were without a guide, we couldn't swim (?!) or take pictures of nature (???). Although the road to Cachoeirinha is marked, and as far as we have read travelers' reviews, easy to find, we were not allowed to go there. Already behind the ticket booths there were guides who blocked our path, started filming us and threatening to call the police. Read moreWe accidentally stumbled upon this path whilst walking on a nearby trail. Immediately, multiple guides started to stare at us and were very rude and we felt very uncomfortable. One lady clearly took a photo of us as we walked by. 5 minutes later another lady stopped us, took a photo and threw us out of the path and we had to pay 20 reals for being in the park (which we didn’t mind).
However, the treatment of the staff was very unpleasant. Furthermore, they charge 200 reals for a guide to explore the majority of the path. Complete rip off. Charging such an obscene amount will have the opposite effect of attracting tourism....
