Parque Ecológico Prof. Hermógenes de Freitas Leitão — Attraction in Região Imediata de Campinas

Beautiful little park. Has very basic toilet facilities. A small playground for kids. Some static exercise equipment and water fountain.

The park is a one mile dirt path around a man made lake that has geese and ducks on it. There are little picnic benches along the path and it is shaded nearly the whole way round by a dense canopy of trees.

It's a very nice park. At the center it has a large lake. Surrounding is very lush greenery. It has a mud track for running and jogging surrounding the lake. For birding it is a good place. Mostly water birds are found. Apart from that some parakeets and thrushes are also there. I visited in the early morning. Best time to see birds is around 6:30 to 7:30 when less people are there for running...

On a fresh day with a light wind and sunshine, this park is a wonderful place to stop and take a walk or a run on a well maintained path around a small lake. There are a lot of birds and trees and nice views of the area. If you're lucky you'll even see one of the giant lizards that call...
