Merece cinco estrelas pelo valor histórico, mas deixo quatro estrelas porque necessita de cuidados, reformas, antes que o tempo deixe sequelas irreversíveis nesse templo religioso. Visitei essa igreja em 2006, minha foto é daquele ano. A igreja já necessitava de reforma. Está localizada numa área de Santos que também precisa de maior atenção do poder público, inclusive segurança.

Patrimônio nacional desde 1940, o Conjunto do Carmo é considerado um dos mais antigos relicários do barroco brasileiro - são duas igrejas unidas por torre com campanário, revestida de azulejos marianos originais do século XIX. acabamos visitando o centro histórico de Santos no sábado e a igreja estava fechada.
