We had a great experience from walking in and learning the process of clay arts in the area. The person explaining the process was kind and patient. We quickly decided to sign up for the pottery class workshop. It was the most fun! I have taken a few pottery classes back home but my husband is not an artsy person. We both had a great time learning the local techniques. We would highly highly recommend supporting this art facility. Our instructor was incredible, I have never seen anyone throw pots quite like this person! It’s mesmerizing watching their hands form the clay. They offer to take our photos too - very considerate and generous hosts! The products made in the shop are beautiful and handmade. There is a lot of pride and artistry involved. They ship worldwide from their online shop.

And do not listen to these negative reviews saying they never get their stuff!! It’s not a reason not to go a support this place. For 25$ you get a private lesson/ an experience - if you have the time to wait for the piece to be fired then wait. Otherwise you can make your 5 bowl like pieces and have fun with them knowing you’re not a pro and they won’t be very practical anyway. We left our Frankenstein looking bowls there and took two beautiful tiny elephants from the store instead - very thoughtful offering from the hosts. Thank you so, so much for the most lovely time! We were so happy to be in your class and to see your...

If you're reading this, you're interested- go!!! Great value!

So easy for anyone! The teachers make everything so simple! And if you don't want to make your own, they have ceramics for sale there.

I booked on another app and even though there was a mix-up, (they didn't send a tuktuk - didn't get the reservation) I hired my own tuktuk from the hotel and they honored the reservation, covered the cost for him, and got me right in and started creating - no fuss!

As an older solo traveler I can't recommend this enough. Nice way to interact with the wonderful staff and there was a whole family of all ages in the class also. You actually work on your own with the instructor and they break it down to 9 easy steps. And they easily fix your messes lol.

They help you with 3 items, then you do 2 on your own with as much or as little help as needed. At the end you get to choose 1 piece to fire overnight. If you want more it's $5 each extra for firing. They can make arrangements to have them sent to your hotel when done if you need it. Remember they won't be done for 1day!!

I have arthritis in my knees and got tired after 4 but the instructor took over the pedaling the wheel, no problem. Just let them know if you need any adaptations and they will accommodate you. My instructor was deaf and I apologize for not remembering her name. She was amazing!!!! Better than a college professor I had years ago!!

Incredible bargain,...

I attended a pottery making class as a beginner. A lady briefly explained to us the steps of making pottery in English as the khmer teacher demonstrated. Soon she left and we started making pottery with the help of the khmer teacher who hardly speaks any English. The teacher was patient and nice towards us but it was not enough as there was no explanations. We each had 5 items to make. For the last two, we need to do it on our own. When I got to the last one, I became very frustrated with how little progress I had made while feeling very helpless. I wanted to ask the teacher questions but language is a huge barrier as my hands were covered in clay with no access to my Google translate. I asked for someone who can speak English. A staff came along. She listened to my complaint about the lack of detailed teaching in English. Her name is Risa and she speaks good English. Thank god! She soon became my pottery teacher and showed me step by step with demonstrations and answered all my questions. I felt I was learning again and started to recreate what she had shown me. She also guided us to the last stage of the lesson in English and with clear explanations. Risa came to my rescue. I couldn't thank her enough. I hope they could get someone who can speak clear English like Risa does to translate throughout the whole lesson, not just for the first 5 minutes of the 2-hour course as some people are...

Update on 10 January 2023 We received our pottery 😊 Update on 1 January 2023 10.35am The staff contacted us when we were already at the airport. They apologised for the delay and will be sending the pottery to us (Singapore). Thank you so much 🙏 Update on 1 January 2023 8.44am Reduced to 2 stars as we NEVER received the pottery we made. We were told it would be delivered to our hotel by the night of 31 December 2022, and they noted that we would be flying off the next day. I tried WhatsApping and Facebook messaging (even calling) them when we had still not received it but no one has answered. We are now at the airport and about to fly off and still no news. We paid an extra USD $10 for extra pieces so this is disappointing. 27 December 2022 Highly recommended activity when in Siem Reap. We were first-timers to pottery so we were grateful to have such a patient teacher. He’s deaf and mute but that did not stop him from giving us a simple and understandable tutorial on the use of the equipment, and the proper way to shape our clay. It was a fun experience as our teacher was really good-natured and non-judgmental. He laughed with us whenever we made a blunder and seemed to thoroughly enjoy helping us beautify our ruined pottery shapes 😂

This class is lots of fun as we are playing with clay esp when we have entire family learning together. Brought back childhood memories when creating something by hand was fun and the expressed creativity was important and appreciated. Something for the soul. My aged in-laws too actively participated in this class. They loved the class despite finding the leg-action based rotation of the wheel a little challenging. The class itself is well organised and the instructors are very helpful and patient with the students. Thankful for that. Two hours goes by very quickly. The disappointing part was they did not have the created objects ready even after 3 and half days of time for them to dry the clay objects and fire the kiln. The objects were still not ready so I am not sure what more to say. Don’t expect to take home your creation even if take the class on Monday and leave Siem Reap on Friday. They offered me to take some other items from their store but “buying” a ready made ceramic object was not goal of this fun class so I am very disappointed with this part of their commitment to customer satisfaction.

It’s interesting if you’ve never made pottery before, but the “teachers” weren’t as patient as other reviews mentioned, and they did a really shoddy job with the glazing which basically ruined all of our 3 pieces (see pics and the ugly white patches). Nothing like the celadon glazing they advertised. I’m glad they support deaf mutes and hire them as teachers, but they seem to expect you to make specific items in the shapes they want. Perhaps we were just unlucky and had the most impatient teacher, but our teacher rushed us into completing the pieces even when we didn’t feel ready yet. I tried to have a bit of fun and make my own shape, and she gave me very disapproving looks and I could tell by her facial expression and the pointing that she was bitching about it to other teachers through sign language. She then stopped helping me for the remaining pieces. Also, there is no way to know what you’re doing wrong since they can’t communicate with you. This was ok for a one off experience though the end products are useless since the glazing was so screwed up, but we wouldn’t visit again or recommend to others.
