We had a great experience from walking in and learning the process of clay arts in the area. The person explaining the process was kind and patient. We quickly decided to sign up for the pottery class workshop. It was the most fun! I have taken a few pottery classes back home but my husband is not an artsy person. We both had a great time learning the local techniques. We would highly highly recommend supporting this art facility. Our instructor was incredible, I have never seen anyone throw pots quite like this person! Itâs mesmerizing watching their hands form the clay. They offer to take our photos too - very considerate and generous hosts! The products made in the shop are beautiful and handmade. There is a lot of pride and artistry involved. They ship worldwide from their online shop.
And do not listen to these negative reviews saying they never get their stuff!! Itâs not a reason not to go a support this place. For 25$ you get a private lesson/ an experience - if you have the time to wait for the piece to be fired then wait. Otherwise you can make your 5 bowl like pieces and have fun with them knowing youâre not a pro and they wonât be very practical anyway. We left our Frankenstein looking bowls there and took two beautiful tiny elephants from the store instead - very thoughtful offering from the hosts. Thank you so, so much for the most lovely time! We were so happy to be in your class and to see your...

So easy for anyone! The teachers make everything so simple! And if you don't want to make your own, they have ceramics for sale there.
I booked on another app and even though there was a mix-up, (they didn't send a tuktuk - didn't get the reservation) I hired my own tuktuk from the hotel and they honored the reservation, covered the cost for him, and got me right in and started creating - no fuss!
As an older solo traveler I can't recommend this enough. Nice way to interact with the wonderful staff and there was a whole family of all ages in the class also. You actually work on your own with the instructor and they break it down to 9 easy steps. And they easily fix your messes lol.
They help you with 3 items, then you do 2 on your own with as much or as little help as needed. At the end you get to choose 1 piece to fire overnight. If you want more it's $5 each extra for firing. They can make arrangements to have them sent to your hotel when done if you need it. Remember they won't be done for 1day!!
I have arthritis in my knees and got tired after 4 but the instructor took over the pedaling the wheel, no problem. Just let them know if you need any adaptations and they will accommodate you. My instructor was deaf and I apologize for not remembering her name. She was amazing!!!! Better than a college professor I had years ago!!
Incredible bargain,...
Read moreI attended a pottery making class as a beginner. A lady briefly explained to us the steps of making pottery in English as the khmer teacher demonstrated. Soon she left and we started making pottery with the help of the khmer teacher who hardly speaks any English. The teacher was patient and nice towards us but it was not enough as there was no explanations. We each had 5 items to make. For the last two, we need to do it on our own. When I got to the last one, I became very frustrated with how little progress I had made while feeling very helpless. I wanted to ask the teacher questions but language is a huge barrier as my hands were covered in clay with no access to my Google translate. I asked for someone who can speak English. A staff came along. She listened to my complaint about the lack of detailed teaching in English. Her name is Risa and she speaks good English. Thank god! She soon became my pottery teacher and showed me step by step with demonstrations and answered all my questions. I felt I was learning again and started to recreate what she had shown me. She also guided us to the last stage of the lesson in English and with clear explanations. Risa came to my rescue. I couldn't thank her enough. I hope they could get someone who can speak clear English like Risa does to translate throughout the whole lesson, not just for the first 5 minutes of the 2-hour course as some people are...
