Read moreThe Bertha trailhead is the starting point for several great hikes in Waterton. The trailhead is located just off of Evergreen Avenue (look for the Betha Lake hike sign). There is plenty of parking near the trailhead and along Evergreen Avenue, but be aware that this is a popular trailhead in the summer months.

We started around 11 AM, and the whole way had no tree cover—likely due to a recent wildfire, as most of the trees were burnt. The trail was steep on the way up, so be prepared for the elevation gain.
