Wieners of Waterton — Restaurant in Alberta

Very simple menu with choice of 3 meat weiners and 1 vegetarian, and sweet potato or potato fries with a variety of unique dipping sauces (curry ketchup, rosemary Parmesan, chipotle mayo, etc). Vegetarian looks like an interesting Greek themed one. Lots of choices for toppings including sauce (secret tomato sauce, mustard) and veggies (fingered carrots, pickled onion, coleslaw, sauerkraut, diced onions).

I had the cheapest hot dog and it was delicious. I thought that minimal toppings were added to my hot dog, which meant that it didn’t add much flavour though it didn’t make a mess and fall off when I was eating it. They didn’t get my toppings order right and gave me diced onions instead of pickled onions, which I found disappointing. The sweet potato fries were delicious (crunchy, moist, flavourful, hot, fresh) and the rosemary Parmesan and chipotle mayo dips were amazing.

Covid precautions: poor, although primarily due to customers needing instruction. It seemed the only measures in place were that workers has masks and there was plexiglas where meals were ordered. There was only one door in and out of this store. There was quite a line up out the store and no customer appeared to be physically distancing, and most did not wear masks. There were no signs and markers to make it clear where customers should be standing in line. Staff send us outside to wait for our food to be prepared and clear the store. There was not a clear waiting area. Picnic tables were outside for eating, which were spaced far enough apart but not cleaned/disinfected...

Delicious weiners and buns and amazing customer service! I was there today and ordered a little Weiner for my little guy, a smokie and sweet potato fries. My little guy decided he didn't want any toppings, not even ketchup! The owner heard this, and after I was finished ordering he came over and asked if my little guy likes chips... When he said yes, he told me that he would sprinkle them on his little Weiner for him, which was great!! Then a few minutes later while we were waiting for the order to be made, the owner came out and handed him a cup with some french fries... WOW... About 2 min later my little guy happened to let the cup slip and the fries all fell out...ahh well, what can you do... But then the owner saw this accident happen and brought out ANOTHER cup of fries for him!! I simply couldn't believe it. Then the order was ready and it was brought out with a smile... That whole experience was so nice and completely unexpected!! I can't recommend this place enough, go order here you will not be disappointed!! In fact we already recommended this place to our in-laws when they arrived today in Waterton, and they are going to order there tonight for...

We were on a road trip through BC and southwest Alberta last week. We stopped here last Friday night around 6pm because who doesn't like a hot dog and we needed something quick before heading to something we had booked 15 minutes away. I had researched this place ahead of time, and based on reviews thought it might be a good place to grab a quick bite.. The town of Waterton--delightful. The service here--impatient. They were not helpful which is fine, because it's ordering hotdogs--which doesn't require a lot of handholding. I ordered a hotdog with cheese but what i got was a cold hot dog--and the shredded cheese was just clumped on. Because the hot dog was not hot, the cheese of course was not melted. Cold and hard and clumped. The fries were not cooked. This was an absolute waste of money and unfortunately i didn't have the time to wait another 15 minutes to get what i actually paid for--a "hot" hotdog. What makes it worse, is this is the kind of place you tip ahead of getting your food, so they got their tip for crap food. Save your 30 bucks and just find...
