The Amherst Theatre — Attraction in Amherst

Recently I saw a "feel good" movie at the Amherst Theatre. There have been some updating to paint etc. Seats still need to be upgraded as one in our row had a broken spring. But all improvements take time and money. And that means the threatre must be profitable. I am sure that if Amherst supports their theatre all improvements will happen over time. Charming theatre with a nostalgic vibe.

We were just passing through the area, when my wife and I stopped in to catch a movie that we didn't want to miss. I was thrilled with the vibe of this entire place. I could see their plans for future development posted, I chatted after the movie with the friendly staff, and just generally had a great night at the movies. The young lady manager was top notch and very accommodating. Her helper (also a young lady) stayed busy through out. They both did actually. The theatre was clean and had an old fashion/friendly look. It was a small, youngish audience but they too were polite and not disruptive as I've seen in theatres across Canada.
