A very interesting mix of old and new items. Pricing varies depending on the item, I purchased a sweet little 1920’s looking cat doll for my mother as an Xmas gift ($23.50 + tax) with a velvet dress and fur stole/headband vintage brooch adorned. I also purchased for myself, an adorable wool felted dreadlock ox ($45 +tax). The ladies there were openly friendly, quick to make conversation with myself and son!

Great shop with lots of local products from throughout Nova Scotia. Large and fun space to check out for souvenirs or gifts for family and friends. There are several displays for featuring different artists. Plenty of street parking nearby and in the back at Dayle’s Market.

Beautiful display of local artisan work, making it difficult to choose a gift. Plan on staying awhile, there's so much to appreciate.

I love this place. It's awesome. Been there numerous times. Only had one incident that wasn't nice.

I overheard the lady working behind the counter say something about it being "covid cheque" day and that there are people here you wouldn't normally see.

And that may be the case for some people, but you should not be making remarks about it while you are walking around eating. My guess is you probably collected some sort of government cheque as well being as it's either your business, or you lost your job because of the lockdown.

It really drives me crazy when I hear people talk about other people like that, thinking that what, you are better than the very people that are buying the products, that other people are making, and you are selling?

Other than that, I highly recommend this very unique shop of shops. It catches my eye...

Unfortunately, our expectations and some "local" directions we received, caused us to miss represent what is actually on offer at Amherst Maritime Mosaic, in an earlier review version. We got no further than street view and didn't recognise that a much more considerable collection was indoors at the Iconic Amherst Department store. Again, local knowledge did not assist us. To the operators we apologise.

Additional external promotion would assist visitors and...

Really nice variety of items a mix of artisans and some (not majority) antiques. High quality paintings. Excellent little café at the back that has live music at times (we were there at midday on a Thursday). Other side of the building is a clothing, shoes (good quality/options), and other items store, very nice. There's also the small store selling musical instruments in the other back corner. We had a morning of joy there today, and a...
