OUTSTANDING!! What a fanatastic experience!!!! There were 10 in our group from age 8 to well, me, 54. All levels, mostly first timers, mostly scared, nervous and excited. So much thought and effort went into the design and structuring of this adventure. I'm a little nervous of heights in the open, but the high end gear and top notch guides (Kaley and Claire!!) really went a long way to putting us at ease. From checking in to the drive up the staff seemed happy and into it which was a great first impression!
There are 6 lines total getting progressively longer or faster, or both. The first one is very very short but is absolutely the BEST way to be introduced to zip lining. Most of us were pretty scared to jump off that first platform, but being so low to the ground, and a very short distance, it just let's you test and feel what a harness and ziplining is like. And it's awesome!!
Truly the nerves do calm down, and by the 3 or 4th zip line every single person was doing whatever tricks they felt comfortable with - no hands, upside down, starfish, torpedo, screams of "CANNONBALL!!!" echoing through the mountains as the kids had a 'mother of all cannonballs' contest!! Really just playing and enjoying it, after that first little zip line that seemed so scary at the start haha.
Our guides, Kaley (Sharkness) and Claire (according to the kids: Snacks' fiance), were excellent. They explained everything to us with such ease that you couldn't help but be at peace learning. Really made us feel safe just by the fact that they were really enjoying it too. They checked our harness before and after every zip and made sure we were comfortable for the next one. After the specifics were out of the way and we were starting to get more comfortable they began to tell us so much about the environment we were in. ie, the kind of trees the platforms and lines were on (Tamarak) and why, mountain range history, pointing out local attactractions like the hoodoos etc. Just an awesome and immersive experience. The were extremely professional, very polite and full of terrible dad joke puns. Which of course won me over.
Mineral Mountain Ziplines is the real deal. Professional, safe, super fun and a great way to see and learn about the valley.
If you're a little nervous about heights, or ziplining, that's ok. Try these guys out - this is the best it gets!! It is so much more than just a 'quick zip'. It's an adventure, an experience, an attraction not to be missed!!
Sincerely, thank you! G2 & G3
ps. Snacks wins best...
Read moreMy family and I went on the Mineral Mountain Zip line adventure last year. (May 2018) While the weather was a little on the cooler side, we all had a fabulous time and said we would be back. Well this year ( May 2019) not everyone could make it, but my cousin and myself decided we were going again this year. Last year one of our guides was David and I am sorry who ever you were last year....I have forgotten your name. ( you were both awesome) So my cousin and I ventured back.
Much to our surprise, this year we had the pleasure of David again being one of our guides and his accomplice Matt. Both these fellows are always smiling, have great fun facts for you so that you've learnt something new that day and are very Professional. Harnesses were checked each run. Questions were answered in a courteous and professional manner ( with a little humor thrown in). And one couldn't help smile at the antics these 2 did while zip lining to the other side to move in to position. #NOFEAR!
We were asked to make gushing comments about the boys if we thought we might leave a review. David - I hope your Pole dancing career takes off. I also HOPE you will be back next year! And if your mother reads these, I am not sure if you were pulling my leg, but if that's your chosen career path...You GO BOY! Matt - Apparently your mom reads the reviews and you blush lots. You are a cutie patootie and we had a lot of fun with you. We would have like to seen the flowing locks of hair as you zip lined across in strange and unusual positions. But we understand the safety aspect. and just an FYI - Pony tails are cool. Man are buns NOT. (yours was a cross between pony tail and man bun... not to sure if those are cool either.) lol but again....understand the safety aspect of your job.
All in all it was a most fabulous last day of our holidays and hope to see both fellows there next year. The zip lines were a blast! The scenery amazing! and our guides were outstanding.
thanks Mineral...

Our family of nine (ages 12 to 66!) had an unforgettable time zip lining with Mineral Mountain Ziplines, and we canât recommend it enough! From start to finish, the experience was smooth, exhilarating, and filled with laughterâthanks in large part to our phenomenal guides, Ace and Darci.
The views were absolutely breathtakingâsoaring over the Columbia Valley with sweeping panoramas that photos just donât do justice. But what really made the day special was the expertise, humor, and heart that Ace and Darci brought to the tour. They struck the perfect balance of safety, encouragement, and funâhelping even our most hesitant family members take those brave first steps off the platforms with confidence (and a smile!).
They even went above and beyond to accommodate a last-minute request to adjust one of our bookings, allowing our entire family to zip line togetherâsomething that meant the world to us.
We laughed, we cheered each other on, and we created memories weâll be talking about for years to come. If youâre anywhere near Fairmont Hot Springs, make sure Mineral Mountain Ziplines is on your itinerary. We would 100% go back again in...
