It is always beautiful to walk there. You can go at dawn, sunrise, sunset, evening or night and it is always pretty. I mostly go at night or early morning and I always find someone there in all weather conditions and every season.

Amazing spot to go for a run or just enjoy the scenery along the basin. If you're a runner then give yourself a challenge and run from here along the basin to the end of Shore Drive. You won't regret it!

It's nice, but in the summer, large groups of people seem to take over the park area near the boat launch with extremely loud music. The result of this is that evening walks may not be so nice for the people that want to enjoy solitude on...
