I bought a rose bush Floribunda Shockwave. It was so pretty, fell in love on first sight, it was the only one left, but I saw it has yellow leaves near the center of the main branch. I trusted they won't sell sick plants as they have experts on site. I bought it and remove the yellow leaves, but it keep coming back. I went to Gardenworks in Burnaby to seek advice what to do, showing the yellow leaves, the rose expert there said it's a root stress. I came back to this store in Madeville since I bought it here, showing the rose's leaves, the expert here said its new environment stress, just wait it out. I waited, but every time I removed the yellow leaves it keep coming back. I went to New West Horticultural Society, showing my rose's leaves they confirmed it's RMD (Rose Mozaic Virus). Nothing I can do about it. The expert in Gardenworks Mandeville told me to wait it out as he said it's just new environment shock. I have passed the 30 days return policy by the time I found out it's Mozaic virus. I fell in love with the rose at first sights. Their price is quite expensive. And since they have experts there, I wish they could do QA checking not to sell sick plants. I am very disappointed. It's my first rose, I always avoided roses before. I also got Hardy Hibiscus (the white Diana) from them almost 2 months ago, it hasn't been flowering until now. My other hardy hibiscus that I got from another nursery with cheaper price than Gardenworks already thrive with lots of blooms. Higher price and having what they said "experts" don't seem proving having better quality of plants in...

Read moreI have been a customer of GardenWorks for many years, but my yesterday experience was extremely disappointing.
Over four years ago, I bought a Kiwi Issai from their store(4746 Marine Dr, Burnaby )The label clearly states that it’s a self-fertile variety that will produce fruit without a pollinator, but despite blooming every year and being well cared for (I even spent over $100 on fertilizer), it never produced a single fruit. This is a clear case of a product not matching its description.
When I went to the store to explain the situation and showed video and the original plant tag from GardenWorks, the woman in charge was extremely rigid and refused to consider a return simply because I no longer had the receipt — even though it had been more than four years. She even called another staff member to tell me to leave the store, which was both rude and unnecessary.
Eventually, the store manager came out and agreed I could dig up the plant and bring it back. But the same woman insisted I must bring the entire plant — roots and all — even though it’s now huge after more than four years, which felt like she was making things difficult for me on purpose.
I left feeling very disappointed with the service and the attitude I received from the person in charge. While I appreciate the manager’s willingness to resolve the issue, the way I was treated by that staff member was...
