I recently visited La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac, a charming flower farm situated just outside Montreal, and had an overall positive experience. The farm, known for its vibrant and diverse floral displays, provides a delightful escape into nature and a feast for the eyes. My visit was enjoyable, but a few factors prevented it from being a perfect outing.
One of the standout aspects of La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac was the welcoming nature of the staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness, which made the experience feel personal and inviting. Their enthusiasm for the farm and its floral beauty was evident, adding a special touch to the visit.
The flowers themselves were indeed quite pretty. The farm boasts an impressive variety of blooms, arranged in lush, colorful displays that truly showcase the beauty of nature. Wandering through the gardens was a sensory delight, with the rich scents and vivid colors creating a picturesque setting perfect for photos or simply enjoying the moment.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The admission price was relatively high, which might be a consideration for potential visitors. While the farm offers a beautiful experience, the cost could be seen as steep, especially for families or groups.
Additionally, the farm was quite crowded during my visit. The large number of visitors made it challenging to fully appreciate the flowers and navigate the space comfortably. It would have been more enjoyable if there had been fewer people, allowing for a more relaxed and immersive experience.
In conclusion, La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac is a lovely destination for flower enthusiasts and those seeking a serene escape from the city. While the staff's friendliness and the floral displays are certainly highlights, the high admission price and overcrowding detract from the overall experience. Despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend a visit for those who appreciate beautiful gardens and don't mind a...
Read moreI went there for the haunted maze at night. It was very disappointing and needs more improvements. Not sure if I got there at a bad time and got unlucky, but we started the maze around 9:30pm. Just 2 minutes in as we started, a worker came to tell us which direction to take. I was confused and asked why and he responded with “you guys were turning in circles we want to help you get out the maze.” So I responded saying you’re telling me we paid 20$ for this haunted maze for you to tell us where to go, the whole point of a maze is to try and figure it out on your own. He ruined our experience of doing the maze and he complained that people were cold. That’s not my problem, you should make sure the scarers are dressed warm. Not only that, there weren’t enough scarers in the maze and they lacked a lot of enthusiasm, it felt as if no one cared and just wanted to go home. I will say the animation and decorations were very nice and had a lot of potential. But honestly, we were very disappointed and probably won’t ever return. The reason I decided to do this haunted maze is because I did another one in Lauzon and it was amazing and had so much fun, but this one was really a disappointment and a waste of money. I heard someone else say they were disappointed as well. The haunted house was okay, a bit better than the maze in my opinion. The bonfire area was a nice added touch, but only about 5 bonfires and all the...
Read moreDo not waste your time, energy or money unless your going there to take picture for social media. Yes, they have beautiful flowers, very pretty! First of all, the young man who is the cashier at the entrance is very impolite. I ask him a simple question how much for 2 adults and 1 child vs family package for 4 and he looked me dead in the eyes and said he is not a mathematician. Wow! The prices are ridiculous about 24$ per adult to look at flowers and a corn field and 17$ per kids over 4 years old. If you really love your kids then you will think twice before you make them play in this old sketchy playground. Seems like their teenager sons built the obstacles in the playground, very cheap and extremely low grade. It’s not secure for kids. Some of the slides are very shaky, I was scared it falls apart while my 5 years old was climbing up to slide. We spent about an 1:30 there and within that time the ambulance came twice. I am shocked that nobody has shut down this playground for the safety of the kids. Never again! I love my child too much, I don’t want to put his life in danger. I really hope in the future they will upgrade their playground with good quality obstacles and make it more...
