Played here this past weekend (mid Sept) with a group of 7 guys. Did the track twice in a day and the replay rate was pretty reasonable. Sunny Saturday and there was no cart girl at all. Clubhouse told us that there was....dissapointed to say the least as we could have grabbed some drinks before we went out. On our second round of the day we did have a marshall show up because we were running behind (15 to 20 minutes). We weren't holding up pace of play as there were no groups behind us. We were playing a bit slow, but we were just taking it all in. They showed up twice on the back 9 (still noone behind us). It felt like they were just trying to get out early....but for the money we paid, let us enjoy the course. Greens were SUPER fast and not very receptive on certain holes. Tee boxes were hit and miss for condition. The better holes are the ones that weave through the trees and hills. It is a challenging course for sure, but nothing too intimidating for an average golfer. I'm not sure its worth the price tag you pay (given my experience) but overall, if you're in the area you should give it a go.

Location was nice and serene! Our room had a nice view of the parking lot and there was a dog barking all night! We had a christmas party there and the halls were nice as was the concert room the bartender Allen was a great guy and was working really hard! The food was good but we didnt eat enough thinking there might be snacks later which there were not! The band they had playing was Dwayne Gretzky and they were good but when they were done so was the fun the music played after was very outdated and random not sure there was even a DJ. We slept in so we missed breakfast that ended at 930 and check bbn out was 11 which we asked to switch till 12 and they were happy to oblige. Our room wasnt the cleanest but I've seen worse. Please clean your washroom air vents and seal around the bathroom tubs and make sure your chair legs are tightened my wife fell off ours in building 10 room 217 I had to tighten it myself. Also remove all previous guests towels from the room. We did not enjoy looking at dirty towels in our closet.

Overall experience was very good. Golf course is picturesque and well maintained. It's a resort course so lots of short par 4's. Club house burnt down in the spring, so very few amenities are available for players. For a course of this calibre, the practice range is a mess, and feels neglected, No distance flags and teeing areas are full of crabgrass. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. However, as a value proposition, $170 is steep compared to other courses in the area. A course guidebook or bag tag would have been a nice keepsake to offset the limited facilities.

My son and I went to Huntsville for a couple days of golf, played this course and I have no idea what to say except "absolutely beautiful" course. From the bag drop to the 18th green, this was a very memorable experience for us. The boys at the gate were fine young gentlemen, very pleasant to deal with and had answers to all our questions. Pro shop attendant Zach that I dealt with on my tee time booking was exceptional and knowledgeable, I apologize that I don't have the name of the fine young man that checked me in but you got a good one there as well. Now on to the golf course, you guys in the Highlands maintenance crew, I tip my hat, you have the course in great shape. If I had a complaint, which I don't. Would be to flatten those greens out a bit (just kidding of course). Starter at #1 was very helpful in letting us know some little things to remember while on certain holes. I could go on and on but I will finish with "if you want a phenomenal golf experience in our great province of Ontario" head to Huntsville and give this gem a shot, you will not be dissapointed Thank you, thank you thank you Jamie...
