High Rock Park — Attraction in Esquimalt

I personally enjoy the surroundings in this place. The peak of the rocks gives people an excellent 360° outlook over Victoria and the lower end of Vancouver Island. The surrounding area is full of evergreen trees with multiple trails to get lost on with your dogs. Of course no matter where you come out your still in the middle of Esquimalt so we are only getting lost in the enjoyment of this excellent park. There are no washrooms but a paved trail up to the top gives even the handicapped this second to none...

High Rock park is a fabulous off leash dog park located in Esquimalt tucked away between Old Esquimalt Rd and Lampson Street. There is several entrances to the area. Two access points on Old Esquimalt Rd and another from High Rock Rd. There is a large open area at the bottom and a series of paved pathways through the rock leading to the summit where there is panoramic views of southern Vancouver Island. A very nice park in the centre of Esquimalt. In a lovely Garry Oak forest with great views of the lower end of Victoria Island.
