I was shopping next door & decided to pick up a burger for a late lunch today @ 2:30 pm. I ordered a mushroom burger & had it in under 5 minutes. There is no way you can cook a fresh 2 cm patty in that time & dress it up. The burger was precooked (barely warm), so overdone it was dry. The meat was not seasoned which equals absolutely no flavor. The whole wheat bun was stale & had not been toasted. It was come with lettuce, tomato, mushrooms & onion. I received old, brown shredded lettuce, one razor thin slice of tomato. If it came with onions & mushrooms, I couldn't taste them. If there were any condiments on the bun, they were so scarce you couldn't taste them.
You can't brag about hand pressed burgers & not serve them cooked to order.
They must sell mostly fries because there were at least 6 boxes of fresh potatoes there - so the fries are real.
The only upside was the owner was friendly & the price appear to be reasonable based on the menu.
I won't be back. Too bad because the only burgers in my area...
Read moreWent after the lunch rush, no lineup, ordered bacon cheeseburger and small fries. I waited about 10 min for my order.
The fries were crisp and tasty, not too salty and a good amount for a small size. I would compare it to a medium size McDs fries.
The burger was quite thick and loaded with the regular toppings. The bacon was crispy, cheese was processed, and the burger meat was seasoned well. The bun was a fresh kaiser toasted on the griddle im assuming, which made for a nice bite. At first glance the bun seemed too big for the burger, but the thickness of the burger and the toppings were a good ratio so I ended up with a piece of burger in my last bite. Kudos for that, this is not usually the case for most burger joints!
My only negative was that the meat was pretty lean so it was a touch dry.
Excellent deal for the price! ($13.50) Would be my first pick if someone wanted to go for a quick inexpensive burger. This place is 1000 times better than any fast food joint...
Read moreAmazing!! My boyfriend recommended this place to me and I had it on my list for a long time to check out while visiting Victoria. He came back in 2012 and he has remembered it since as one of the best burgers he’s ever had. Definitely lived up to his hype!! Between me and my best friend, we ordered a cheeseburger, mushroom cheeseburger, regular fries and the Montreal smoked meat poutine, which was HUGE! They don’t cheap out here. The prices are very reasonable and have better quality and taste than the typical $16 burger you grab at a restaurant. I love how this place is literally just a random stand in a parking lot in a slightly commercial/industrial area. The ladies/owners are SO sweet and friendly ❤️ I will be returning every single time I come...
