Chebucto Road Park — Attraction in Halifax

This playground was not designed with careful thought or care. The sightlines from the street to the structure are not very clear. A little girl once choked, passed out and could have died. All playgrounds should be seen clearly from all directions. Used condoms, needles and broken glass have been picked up by many young children over the years and HRM doesn't deal with that issue. Many "parties" occur there because the sightlines are obscure. Emergency vehicles can not easily get to the play structure because there is no road leading to it. The structure is very close to residents creating an unreasonable amount of noise, garbage and vandalism. The playground is not easily accessible by wheelchair. The structure was partly paid for by a private school and is on HRM property. This is highly uncommon because the school doesn't have a playground on it's property anymore. The original school playground was turned into a parking lot for teachers. Again, uncommon for a school not to have it's own...

Woodchips. Not accessible for disabled and I visable disabilities like CP Kids, wheelchairs or autistic kids needing to stim quietly on a swing before bed.
