Nice little hike. Best to pack a lunch some water and wear appropriate shoes, as this is not a casual hike. When you hit the T junction, turn right and head downhill towards the lake. The trail will take you right to Sandy Beach cove. Read moreQuick little hike not far from HHS resort. The 1st little bit of the hike is somewhat challenging as you need to climb up and over rocks as you hike up a steep grade. Bring some good shoes and you'll have no problems. Once you get past that it's a breeze. The beach it self is nice and secluded and the day we went it was just us. More: Took the Whippoorwill trail which was classified as Easy on Alltrails but should be classified moderate, if nothing else, to disuade beginners. Physically not challenging but the marking is borderline terrible. We misunderstood a sign and climbed on the right (dangerous) side of a large rocky area instead of the left. Also ended up off trail in deep old growth and luckily kept our cool. Not suitable for kids...
