Nice quiet beach after a moderate hike close to town. More: Took the Whippoorwill trail which was classified as Easy on Alltrails but should be classified moderate, if nothing else, to disuade beginners. Physically not challenging but the marking is borderline terrible. We misunderstood a sign and climbed on the right (dangerous) side of a large rocky area instead of the left. Also ended up off trail in deep old growth and luckily kept our cool. Not suitable for kids in my opinion.

This is a amazing prive and secluded beach when the water is low enough for it to not be completely under water. Just be warned that it is used as a local unofficial clothing optional beach so you may encounter people swimming and relaxing in the nude especially during the more quiet weekdays. The hike to get there is along a unmarked trail that can be quite treacherous in spots so make sure to wear appropriate footwear.

Not as famous as people make it seem. There all lots of locations to hang out by the beach. The beach is by a water treatment plant, and there’s lots of traffic. Definitely not private enough to not be bothered by groups. I would recommend lots of lakes around this place for better experience with cleaner waters. BC is filled with lots of great places, and this is just mediocre. Best wishes exploring!

Nice little hike. Best to pack a lunch some water and wear appropriate shoes, as this is not a casual hike. When you hit the T junction, turn right and head downhill towards the lake. The trail will take you right to Sandy Beach cove. The beach itself is nothing spectacular, but does offer some nice views of Harrison lake The trail to Whippoorwill point is on the far end of Sandy Beach Cove. We didn't get the chance to continue our hike to Whippoorwill, as we decided to turn around and head back to...

Quick little hike not far from HHS resort. The 1st little bit of the hike is somewhat challenging as you need to climb up and over rocks as you hike up a steep grade. Bring some good shoes and you'll have no problems. Once you get past that it's a breeze. The beach it self is nice and secluded and the day we went it was just us. Total time there and back....including some picture taking and wandering around on the beach was just over an hour. Less experienced hikers might want to leave a...
