Sadly, a fun looking experience with not only a hefty price tag, but horrible customer service. My family of 4 booked our vacation and planned for a stop at the facilities to celebrate a birthday. It was to be the highlight of the trip. Instead, a few weeks after booking, our time slot was dropped and changed without our consent or any notification a few days before arriving. This not only threw off our birthday celebration plans, but left us scrambling to arrive on time coming from out of town. After confirming the new itinerary with the staff, I was still spam emailed several times with reminders for the pre existing booking I had arranged before THEY changed it.
Moving past this… we arrived and were met with some extremely rude staff. We booked for a one hour seadoo rental, x4 on the water obstacle course and x4 for the bumper cars. They were unable to keep to their own schedule and we were put on the seadoo late. Because of their fumble, my children were only given 15 minutes of a one hour booking on the bumper boats. I was advised that there was no set time slot for the bumper boats and to not worry about the timing. My children were using the bumper boats while my husband and I used the seadoo. They were shooed off the boats by staff after 15 mins citing their time was up. My husband and I were not even able to use the bumper boats. When asked for a refund because of the fumble, we were told they do not do refunds. The wibbit (water obstacle course) was fun, but severely overcrowded. I was spam emailed and my social medias were blown up with their advertisements that you should book early because they fill up quick. So we did, however, it made no difference as there was clearly no money turned down and no person turned away when max capacity was reached.
There are no restroom facilities anywhere near the activities. This was not mentioned whatsoever during the booking process. Once wet suits were on and everyone orientated… we were told bathrooms were a far distance up at a hotel. Quite a walk from the location. But, the kicker being… you cannot go to the washroom with your wetsuit on… I was rudely chased down by one of the staff, even after i confirmed with another staff member where the bathrooms were and if there was anything I needed to access them. She said no and pointed at the hotel. So off we hiked… almost reached the hotel, when we were yelled at and then escorted back down to the dock and told to remove said wetsuits before using the restroom because we were likely to steal them. Even having half our party and $1000 deposit down with them at the docks… we clearly looked to them like people that pay hundreds of dollars to steal ripped, stinky, old wetsuits.
There is a wibbit in Kelowna that we had used before. Much more organized. Staff were friendly and courteous. Will definitely be taking my business there and advising others to do so as well.
I would give negative stars if I...
Read moreRiding the actual Jet Ski was a great experience; however, the service was horribly unprofessional. The person supposedly (and unfortunately) in charge was not accommodating. When we initially approached Harrison Water Sports Inc., we were told that there were no more Jet Skis available (which, by itself, is not an issue, of course). Because none were available, we asked about reserving. However, because the individual in charge was inconvenienced and simply did not feel like doing reservations at that time, we had to return later just to make reservations. The next day, we finally were able to rent two Jet Skis. I was with three other friends, with two of us on each Jet Ski. My two friends on the other Jet Ski were told to return at a certain time by one employee, and they did come back by that time successfully. However, at the conclusion of their allotted time, the manager (or whatever he was titled as) met my friends with attitude, saying that they were supposed to return by 2:15 PM. My two other friends returned in their Jet Ski by 2:30 PM because they didn't leave until 1:30 PM, and the employee dealing with them at the time stated that they could return in an hour. Perhaps the manager has issues with telling time, but that translates to 2:30 PM. When we (as a group) notified him that the employee dealing with my other friends' Jet Ski told them that they were to return by 2:30 PM, he argued with us, showing quite the attitude, and displayed zero customer service skills. He claimed to have told them initially (before they set out in the Jet Ski) that the time which they were to return by was 2:15 PM. That, I'm sure, is true, but he should have communicated better with the other employee who provided them with a different end time. He never charged us for extra time fortunately (probably because he knew that he was wrong), but he was still in the wrong and should have owned up to it. In general, I would not recommend this place if you are able to bring your own Jet Ski. The unprofessionalism was disgraceful, and because of that, I would not recommend trusting them with credit card information. Note that they take deposits on the Jet Skis, too; I do not like the notion of dealing with people such as the manager with respect to deposits or anything of the like.
Reply to owner: Regardless, your employees need to state the proper times. If we would have returned at 2:15 PM, we wouldn't have had a full hour. Also, there is no reason why your employees couldn't take reservations in person. You state, "If we are very busy on weekends we will only take reservations for the next day after 630pm, so we can provided support for out clients that are renting at that time." That doesn't make sense. The amount of time that it takes your employees to explain that reservations need to be made via the phone - and the reason for that - is longer than simply making the...
Read moreWe started out not happy with this business as there were some miscommunications. I called the number on google for this place and there is no one working at the park who will take calls to answer basic questions such as do you have a bathroom, lockers, wetsuits, etc. They transfer you to a call centre in the Philippines where they will book you a spot but don’t have any other accurate information. The lady at the call centre told me that wet suits were free. We parked by the lake and paid for parking but ended up with a $100 parking ticket because we had a camper on the back of our truck. Beware!! Even though there are very few tourists around and tons of parking spots, they are still enforcing parking. No camper or RV parking allowed. We headed to the dock where several employees were working. Very friendly employees. No one was answering phone calls though as apparently they are too busy to do so (says the manager) even though there were about 8 employees and only 8 customers in total while we were there from 1:30-3:30pm. It was 18 degrees and cloudy so the park was empty except for our family of 5 and 3 other girls. We had to get wetsuits as the water is very cold and it was not sunny out. Brittany, the manager, would not let us have wetsuits for free even though the lady at the call centre said they were free and we were basically the only customers giving them business that day. They would also not give us a refund due to the cold weather, so we had no choice but to pay the extra $6 each for a wetsuit. They also make you wear a life jacket which makes it a bit cumbersome to move around on the equipment. They water taxi you out from the dock to the inflatable park on a blow up trailer pulled by a jet ski. Then you are free to play on all of the equipment. The inflatable toys and apparatus are in excellent condition and seem like they are brand new. There are lots of choices of what to play on including giant teeter totters, slides, rope swing and blob. You have to be 6 or over to play at the park and 10 or over to go on the blob. There were about 4 lifeguards on duty at the park standing there doing basically nothing, so I think they should be hauling a bucket of water to dump down the slides to make them more slippery. We had a lot of fun once we got to the inflatable park and we would definitely go back. Now that we know the cost of everything ($37 per person plus $6 for a wetsuit) and that there is no bathroom on the dock or at the park and that they do have lockers ($2 one time use) we know what to expect for next time. We were ages 6, 8, 10, 38 and 39 and we all enjoyed our time there. 2 hours is enough time and it was fun even without the sun. I would also add that you need to be in relatively good shape and somewhat strong to enjoy this place as it requires climbing up ladders and handles and pulling yourself out of the water onto the...
