World's Longest Covered Bridge — Attraction in Hartland

As what seems to be the normal experience in New Brunswick, the bridge was closed.

There is no warning on the highway until you get to the bridge, which has what are obviously well used, permanent 'temperary' signs saying the bridge is closed.

In the short time we were there, the number of disappointed tourists that showed up, surprised to find such a highly advertised item closed, was incredible.

Big disappointment.

I live in an area with several covered bridges, so when I saw the sign claiming this was the longest one in the world, I had to see it for myself—and it did not disappoint.
