The overall antique market is fantastic w some really great finds permitting you have the time to look. The reason for my low score is due to my personal very gross experience w possibly the manager ... lady in her late 50's mid 60's sitting at the entrance behind a small desk w short white hair... large Tiffany beaded bracelet abouy 5'2 in height.
The purpose for our visit was a couple diamond pieces we needed as gifts and a fur coat. We found a few nice pieces we wanted to purchase ... but unrelated I also came across a small Xmas ornament that was not priced. It came from a booth that had a 15% markdown on all originally priced items. Before I brought up the other purchases I inquired what the price for the small Xmas ornament was the guy quoted me $10 which was completely unreasonable... he then said well what do you think would be a more appropriate price...Before I was able to respond.... lady from the desk walks into the cash counter ... "okay we have to make a decision here guys we have a huge lineup and don't have time"... (which I'd like to add we waited in line for 15 minutes patiently to be served) She absolutely made my decision for me I did not purchase the rings nor the fur coat nor the ornament. I have made many many antique store purchases and never have I ever been treated like that. Very very gross behavior... even the attendant who served me apologized cause he knew I was put off by her gross demeanor... this is 1 place we will not be...
Read moreBe prepared to spend over an hour in here! Lots to look at and explore. I was on the hunt for specific items and unfortunately did not find them (there weren't a lot of drinkware sets but more specifically coloured ones - LOTS of pyrex and other types of glassware though).
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that a lot of the booths have the same kind of items but not enough to say they have identical items to one another.. I don't think there were any two items the same BUT they were the same time period or asthetic. And that some items didn't have prices on them which isn't a huge deal at all but I am not one for sticker shock at the register so it's a personal thing.
Otherwise I found things were reasonably priced, it was well maintained and the booths were beautifully curated. LOTS of artwork, trinkets, glassware, and home decor to look through.
$1 to get in to view the Antiques Mall which the entrance is the farthest door you can enter - otherwise you are entering the 400 Market. Lots of parking...
Read moreA very interesting antique mall. Having been in a few of them throughout Ontario, this one is among the best.
It's located right next to the 400 flea market. They share the same building, but don't communicate, so you need to enter at the end of the building. There is a 1$ fee for the parking, as the flea market and antique market share the same parking.
The alleys are large enough to move freely, and each booth is well identified. Most of the boots are consigned and valuable items are under key, needing someone to unlock the cases. Staff is friendly.
A very good variety of vintage/antique stuff, which are reasonably priced, compared to other antique malls. There are around 200 boots, from what is said online. We spent around 5 hours over there, you can fill almost a full day if you take the time to stop at each booth.
They do accept cash, debit, credit.
A nice experience, and a must stop for any vintage/...
