A Must-Visit Winery in Kingsville! Pelee Island Winery is an absolute gem! The vine-to-wine experience is fascinating, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. The wine tastings are well-curated, offering a great selection of local wines that truly showcase the region’s flavors. The ambience is charming, whether you're enjoying a tasting indoors or relaxing on the patio with a glass of their award-winning wine. I especially loved the interactive tours, where you get to learn about the winemaking process firsthand. The seasonal live entertainment adds a wonderful touch, making it a perfect spot for a weekend outing. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area—whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing experience! 🍷 To get to Pelee Island Winery in Kingsville from Windsor main town, here’s what you need to do: 🚗 By Car Drive east on Highway 3 from Windsor toward Kingsville. The journey takes about 40 minutes, covering approximately 40 km. Once in Kingsville, head to 455 Seacliff Drive, where the winery is located. 🚌 By Public Transport There is no direct public transport from Windsor to Kingsville, so a taxi or rideshare is the best option. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Leamington and then a taxi to Kingsville.

This was our absolute favorite winery that we visited in Canada! We walked inside to very friendly staff members who were helpful with our questions. We chose to do the tour which also included 4 wine tastings for each person and a souvenir wine glass for $10 a person. We had Beverly as our tour guide and she was an absolute delight. She was so friendly, informative, and enthusiastic the whole time. She takes you through the process of making and bottling wine, while showing you the barrels and equipment used. During the tour, we tried the empress sparkling Riesling, Lola rose cab franc, swallow tale Pinot Grigio, peele island gewurztraminer, stone and, and semi sweet merlot. We really enjoyed each of these-so much my wife and I decided to each do a separate tasting after the tour! For their tastings, you are able to choose any 4 from their expansive list. It is $20-$5 goes towards their charity and you get a $15 credit to use in the store after. We chose empress orange gewurztraminer, unoaked Chardonnay, JS Hamilton Pinot Grigio, Vidal ice wine, bourbon barrel baco noir, Thaddeus smith, monarch red and the red ice wine. We loved the wines so much from this place we ended up buying 9 bottles. This is an absolute MUST! The wine is just too good.

Went to the winery for their afternoon tour. Wasn't sure what to expect, but it exceeded all my expectations. For $10+tax, we got a tasting of their sparkling wine. We were able to walk with our wine through the cellar and filtering area. It was really cool to see the behind the scenes although being a weekend, not much was going on. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable of the wine, wine making process, the geography of the area and gave a great Mexican restaurant recommendation. We finished with 3 tastings, and since the bar area was full, we went downstairs and got to sit in a barrel booth which was an added bonus. The value and experience was excellent. Highly recommend. It's is first come, first served. I can comment on their busy season. First Saturday in April there were 4 people on the afternoon tour.

This could be a 5 star if I didn't have the experience of the manager(Short blonde hair and glasses?). A group of girls including myself went over to enjoy the winery. As we arrived we noticed there was a marathon which was great because that would mean more people going to the winery. We walked in and the girls working behind the bar were super excellent and knowledgeable about the wine we were trying. We picked out the bottles of wine we enjoyed, purchased them and sat in the barrel(There's big wine barrels with a booth in them! Super cool!). My group can get loud(what girls can't? haha) hence why we secluded ourselves in this barrel not to disturb anyone. As we were enjoying our time people would open the door and state how cool the barrel was asked for pictures and some joined us for a drink. So the door was constantly being opened. The manager told us earlier that there would be a line of people since there was a barbeque and we told her that's fine since we were content in the barrel, the other one was located right near the fryer and the patio had no seats. She was extremely rude and left us be. The second encounter she angrily opened the door and started "Girls out of the barrel. Nope get out, you've had enough time in there". We again stated the same thing so she told us "you need to keep this door closed" it was hard to do that when people were opening it and looking in and there was no handle inside to shut it! She stood directly outside of our barrel for almost the rest of our time there. Completely unpleasant lady. There were people coming up to us saying how unpleasant she was to us and how rude she was so it obviously wasn't just us thinking that. There was never a line up outside of our barrel either. Completely unnecessary the way we were treated. Beautiful place....
