I typically love Henderson Lake Park, but this evening (approx 7:00), 3 vehicles filled with Hutterites parked in close proximity to where we were parked. Two older males got out of their vehicle and one proceeded to urinate on his front passenger-side tire ... directly in our visual range. Both men were staggering and appeared inebriated. My husband shook his head when they looked over at us, and they approached our vehicle saying, "he really needed to go bad". I just looked in the opposite direction, but found this behavior profoundly offensive. Not only were we in close proximity, but on the other side were children in the play area, and directly in front of us was the walking path. Disgusting! Incidentally the washrooms were only a short distance away. Shortly thereafter many men, women and children converged toward one vehicle and we witnessed a sharing of whiskey among the men and women. Soon thereafter they all loaded up into their vehicles and left. Unfortunately, you just cannot unsee something like this. Hope it's just an...

Nice paths for walking/running or getting around the lake by other means. People fish this lake however I'm not sure I would recommend eating anything caught in it. There is a boat launch for canoes or kayaks. Not large enough for motor boats. The dragon boat festival is held here in June each year which is worth checking out. There are many picnic beaches and shelters available. There is an outdoor pool with waterslides on the NW corner of the lake as well as Japanese Gardens on the West end. Admission fees for both. Golf course along the South side. The city hosts events here throughout the year including a Canada Day celebration. There is a nice big playground as well as a smaller one for kids. The park was very clean and had many garbage/recycling bins when I...

we used to live in Lethbridge and it's not too far away from this park. It was a beautiful place to come and exercise. I love running all the way around the lake and the park. There's a really great playground for The Children Here. Our most recent visit we were just passing through Lethbridge but we took a stop here to let the kids stretch out their legs at the playground. It was jam-packed with people and everybody was having a really great time. Only issue was around parking because there was some Dragon Boat training going on at the time. One of the better Parks I've...

Due to social distancing, there is signage recommending that you walk around the lake in a counter clockwise direction. It's approximately 2.5 km around the lake and the path is paved. There is a multitude of monuments and such to have a look at while you enjoy your walk. Currently all of the concessions are closed and the public restrooms are open for use, at your own risk.

Was here with friends and it was great experience, it's a place to fish, picnic, enjoy nature, have fun, do kayaking/boat ride (come with your own, like bring your own device kinda, lol), (you are not allowed to swin though, still don't know why), and a large playground for kids as well. Walked round the lake park couple of times... It's absolutely 💯 👌
