Excite Lethbridge — Attraction in Lethbridge

Had an event in the new building a few weeks ago and I don't have a single good thing to say about the whole experience. They were supposed to have the room already organized and setup for us at 8am, so that we could begin rehearsals and putting up our decorations as we weren't allowed in the previous night. When we got there nothing had been setup and everything was still disorganized from the previous event. We had to wait over an hour for them the put down the dance floor, which they couldn't even find all the pieces so it was smaller than promised. Then when we finally got started the sound system wasn't working properly and they were adamant that no one could come fix it that day. After a very long talk they finally managed to get someone in to fix it. The "change rooms" they had for the dancers were far down the hall which was not convenient for quick changes and made the between dances very stressful. The food was absolutely horrendous. We chose to do the plated meal, because $75 a head for a buffet was absolutely ridiculous. We were still charged $60 a head for the meal, and not a single person I talked to after would have paid had they know the food was going to be that bad. The soup they started out with was cold by the time it came out, and a quarter of the guests never even got theirs. The "salad" was a plate of shredded raw purple cabbage with some sort of acid on top. The perogies were so undercooked and hard that they cut the mouths of many of the guests. The sausages were so overdone that you couldn't even cut them with the knives that were provided. The dessert was a cake, that was so dry, it was as though it had been cut a week prior and left out uncovered. People were banging them on the table and they were still in one piece. The only truly edible portion of the meal was the bread with garlic butter. There was another event happening the same night, but the signage was so bad that we had many coming to ask our ushers where to go. The parking was probably one of the worst parts. They didn't build any new parking despite having a larger building, so you have to park on one side or the other. From the middle of the south parking lot to the entrance to our event was over a 5 minute walk. The parking lot is old cracking pavement, and it was extremely difficult for the seniors to get in. The north lot has a slope going up to the building which was not salted, and caused a few people to fall. This will be the absolute last place to use again for any of our events...

Extreme unprofessional we called Kristina six months back asking for a spot she told me sure we’ve been looking for someone like you please come down and pay when we went to be the woman went all psycho on us and said what are you doing here I did not call you down she made us wait two months to finally pay for our spot we do exhibitions for a living and anybody who knows about the exhibition life knows you need a schedule we have to build our whole schedule around this woman I asked to be put into a busy spot away from One particular vendor she puts me all the way in the back where there is nobody walking this is my bread-and-butter I need this to survive I told her I wasn’t happy she told I have to wait around for nine hours to see if she could move me into another spot when did nine hours came up I asked her can I be moved she took a fit she started yelling for no reason she didn’t told me to email her at 11:30 I did so she was waiting at the gates telling me you can’t come in you can’t come in and where did she decide to put me literally right next to the same vendor that I said in the beginning I don’t want to be at I told her I am leaving I do not want to be part of the show she put on this big production of five security guards watching us take down demanding for badges and giving me a letter because she’s kicking me out of the show lol 😂 like seriously I think this woman needs to be on medication because seriously she should not be dealing with the public I will never go here again and by the way as we were leaving 4 other vendors that we know told does the same thing there’s something wrong with this woman and they have packed up and left the show seriously management I hope you read this and get some better stuff because this is ridiculous I have done thousands of events and not one time this is...

My partner and I got married here in August 2022. The venue itself was beautiful but I absolutely would not recommend booking here. Long story short, it was a nightmare planning a wedding here as the communication was terrible and no one at this venue was on the same page. They went through a staff switch 6 months before our wedding and we suffered for it. Not necessarily a specific persons fault. Just very unorganized. •We were told things from one person and didn’t get it when the time came (ex. Trying the food) •Being charged more for things then originally stated (the bar, the set up day before) •We had several issues when it came to invoices as they came back wrong. If you book make sure you’re double checking everything. I understand it was likely miscommunication but that shouldn’t be happening on both invoices. It definitely just makes it feel like they are hoping you won’t notice the extra fees. At the end of the day we are happy to have celebrated with our family and friends, we just wish it went smoother during the planning process to cut out the unnecessary stress. Side note - If you do book here I recommend not booking in the summer, it was a sauna as there was no AC and we underestimated the heat (that’s our fault not the venues as...
