The day we were here it was pouring / pelting sideways rain, the clouds were dark and grey and the fog bank was socked in. We could only see a very small circle of choppy water, everything was dripping. Inside was incomprehensibly tiny - it's amazing to remember that not only was this a working lighthouse up until the 70's, it was part of a family home. Up the stairs so steep they are almost a ladder, we sat on a bench and watched a video of the stories told by a former resident. On the wall is coin - once you read the story of the coin, you'll be surprised and impressed. Up another stair ladder is where the light of the light house used to be. In a way, it was really wonderful to be able to experience in the rain - it makes you realise how vital they were.... and in the tiny wee gift shop we were delighted to see a copy of Frankie's book!

Cute lighthouse next to a small park with a picnic area and a short walk along the water. Great to stop by, take a breather, and enjoy the scenery. There were some boards with information about the lighthouse and the nature surrounding the area. There is limited parking available (6 spots?) near the lighthouse, but there are also some street parking on the way there. Keep a look out for some very uniquely painted fire hydrants in the area.

Very nice seeing this lighthouse, you can actually go in to see the space where the lighthouse keeper lived. Climb to the tower, sound the horn. A very nice adventure for kids. There is a little gift shop, with your purchases there it goes towards the upkeep of the lighthouse.

Beautiful waterfront setting on historic site. Loved it! Nice walking path with benches for sitting and relaxing while enjoying the view. Lots of interpretive panels to learn about the history of the site and the local community. Well kept lighthouse with reception area and restrooms. We were able to see several boats heading out to sea for fishing. Enjoying watching birds and seals from the Point....
