I usually go to Toogood Pond every week or two. it is one of the best places for fishing as well. Below is my historic research about Toogood Pond: Toogood Pond is a beautiful and serene park located in the city of Markham, Ontario, Canada. The park is situated around a large pond of the same name, and is surrounded by mature trees and lush greenery, making it a peaceful and relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Toogood Pond is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a wide range of recreational opportunities including fishing, boating, picnicking, and hiking. The park also features a well-maintained network of trails, which offer access to some of the most beautiful and scenic areas of the park. In addition to its natural beauty, Toogood Pond is also rich in cultural and historical significance. The park is home to a number of historic sites and structures, including the Toogood Estate, a beautiful and well-preserved 19th-century mansion that is now used as a community center. Toogood Pond is also a popular destination for families, offering a variety of activities and attractions that are perfect for children of all ages. The park has several playgrounds, picnic areas, and even a small beach, which are great for families with young children. Overall, Toogood Pond is a truly special place that offers something for everyone. Just a 5-minute walk from Varley Art Gallery and close to Unionville Main Street, this hidden gem is worth a stop. It’s a beautiful little pond that stays so calm and quiet, with a small viewing point and a couple of benches where you can just sit and soak in the serenity.

The place is very clean and well-maintained. You’ll often see people strolling around with their pets in the evening, which adds to the charm without making it crowded.

What I love is how easy it is to grab a cold drink from Unionville Main Street and head over here to relax by the water. Nothing fancy—just a simple, peaceful spot if you want to step away from the bustling streets and enjoy a slow...

The trails were quite nice. Everything was good the facility was clean. The pond was a bit fresh but to be expected. Relatively clean throughout there wasn't too much garbage. People were friendly and there weren't too many mosquitoes. The best part is Unionville beautiful downtown is literally a stone throws away. Most people were fairly nice and friendly. You wouldn't think it was Toronto LOL. If there is any complaint to be had it would be how about some of the people using the parking lot. I don't think they understand the concept of keeping their vehicles between the lines. I could only imagine what they're colouring books look like as...

Visit: September 2023 Toogood Pond not only has a great name, it's a great place for a stroll. It's very relaxing there with a nice Trail that loops around the pond. Being near Main Street Unionville, there's also a lot of food options nearby if you get tired of walking. And there is a spacious parking lot, though it gets really full on the weekends. Great place for photos, or just to relax, highly recommend!
