Heritage garden, natural playground for children, very neat park with green property which has an intresting history. It's a complex of nursery, landscaped home grounds and wooded sanctuary for native and naturalized plants, birds and animals. Walking trails, benches for having rest, parking is free, wheelchair parking available. Place is open for public. Today I discover a lot for me and my children visiting place. Good to know about Hancock Woodlands: • one of the many trees of note on the property is a sugar maple. It was grown from the seed of the oldest sugar maple in Ontario, located in Fonthill. "This tree has a 500-year-old mother," Carol Hancock noted. • one of the neighbours on Camilla Rd. who knew the Hancocks well was the last Grand Duchess of Russia, Olga Alexandrovna Romanov, who moved into the area in 1952.
