Modern visitor center that is open and inviting with lots of information for traveling visitors from far and near. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly with loads of local knowledge. Maps and books for hiking, traveling must do spots and sightseeing on hand. Also available as well as the maps and books for the Festival of Murals. Outside the center is a public restroom and benches as well as picnic tables to relax in the large courtyard. There is free wi-fi for travelers on site also

This is the starting place for all the murals the town has in place, 40 or so. There are yellow footprints marked on the sidewalk to do a self tour or you can go inside visitor center and purchase a brochure. This gives a description of each mural and a map showing the location. The money spent on this brochure goes to maintaining the...

Loved Chemainus visit, but we arrived at the visitor centre at 4:01 and it was closed at 4pm. That wasn't a problem, but I would suggest that they offer their free mural map on the outside of the building (or even online) in case you miss...
