The casino used to be RV friendly last year but this year they have changed their outlook on this. Myself and many other travellers came to the casino for their breakfast, diner and gaming. It was quite enjoyable to come to the casino for entertainment into the late evening, gamble and be able to rest in our RVs after an enjoyable night out and then have a great tasting breakfast in the morning with the option of continuing the good times the next day. We all felt safe knowing that there was the casino security as well. Some of my RV friends last year also commented that they appreciated being able to rest in their RV after a fun night at the casino where they had too much to drink. I just came to the casino again with my travels and expected again to be able to stay for awhile and enjoy the casino like I had been able to in the past, only to find a big rude and obnoxious sign on my RV saying that if I park overnight that I will be towed. I had come in the early morning hours to rest and then gamble after enjoying a great breakfast. This casino had a unique perk that you could stay for a few weeks to enjoy the casino, so long as you registered. I see that their mentality on this has changed. If this is the case, I don't see how I can use the 24 hour poker room anymore during my travels as my RV is going to get towed if it's there overnight while I'm inside the casino spending hard earned money. This is such a shame as I met many many other RVers who did as I did last year, to stay for a week or more enjoying gaming and the entertainment at the casino knowing my RV was safe in the massive overflow lot. We all respected the rules that we park as close to Costco as we could and walk to the casino, which we had no problem doing. This casino is no longer RV friendly. Accidentally called the PURE casino on the south side of Edmonton (thanks Google) to talk to someone about this and found that they too have the same rules now. Going to be giving all PURE Casinos as swerve now as they clearly don't want our business and will be sharing with other RV travellers online to avoid them as well as we are no longer welcome. Such a shame as this was so much fun last year to come to the casino on our travels. I was really looking forward to the comedy show...
Read moreWe use to go to Yellowhead Casino a lot during the first 5 years of operations ; that being said we’ve been back only a few times in the last 10 years due to the gambling advantage for the house. This May 2024 we decided to try out the Yellowhead Casino for our birthdays and found it’s generally the same place we’re familiar with. Nevertheless, the Retro Kitchen has become expensive for mediocre type of food entrees. For example, if you’re going to serve Steak, it should be at least 10 -12 oz instead 8 oz . However, the serving staff throughout the casino and food hospitality are very friendly and helpful, which is indeed a plus ! The casino needs to up their game to possibly match the slots in Las Vegas . There isn’t many low volatility slot machines vs the higher volatility progressive machines. I found a few low volatility machines but not enough. The Table games are on par , as are the poker games. I suspect Yellowhead is keen on “Poker Gamblers “ and likely where they make most of their revenue. The PURE Promotions require better rewards and specials to draw experienced gamers into their Casinos. Guess I’m just spoiled from Vegas and other States Rewards throughout United States. The PURE Promotions just have to up their game in being more creative , is all. Not related to Yellowhead Casino , but I’m truly disappointed with WINNERS EDGE ; just isn’t anything great to redeem your points. Overall we enjoyed ourselves ( as the Oilers won against Dallas ) and our gambling at certain slots allowed us to be ahead of our game, so...
Read moreThe casino itself looks depressing. Don’t even get me started on the Kitchen and Retro Bar. The staff wasn’t friendly at all. She didn’t even ask us if we have allergy or anything. My girlfriend ordered the dinner special on Saturday night which is the Steak and Shrimp and both of them tasted trash. She requested her steak a medium well but she was given a well done steak. She didn’t even bothered to mentioned what side come with the steak. The server didn’t even bothered to ask us how was the food. The shrimp is overcooked and cannot be eaten. I ordered the fish and chips and it tasted bland at all. We didn’t bother to tell the server because we’re afraid that they might do something with the food like spit on them, put a hair or something like what you see on tv specially that the server was not even approachable at all. I know that the meal was under the deal but atleast give us a better experience and treat use better. Will never come back and will not recommend to our family and friends. I hope the server get trained for customer service. We are really really...
