If you need tires or tire servicing, this is not the place. Would do negative 5 stars if I could. This recount is not embellished in any way, this is exactly our experience.

Wife had a flat on her way to work. Picked up a nail. AMA changed w/ her donut so tire was off. She caught a last minute evening appointment for this costco. Big mistake.

She dropped the car off and went shopping. I came about 15 minutes later to the same costco and observed her car in the shop with the hatchback open, work laptop & lunchbox in plain view and no one around. As in, no one. I walked up and checked.

Found her in costco, she tells me a tech called her about 5 minutes into the tire appointment saying tread is too thin so they can't repair. Not costco's fault, no problem. She told them not to do anything to the car & that she'd pick it up after shopping.

We go back to tire shop 20 minutes later to pick up her car. There's a line of 3 people, so she stands in line while I take groceries out to my vehicle. I observe her car still trunk wide open in their bay, with no one around. At this point i walked up, grabbed her laptop and put it in my vehicle. No one stopped me. Anyone could've done it.

Go back inside, the line hadn't moved. She/we waited in line 30 minutes for 3 customers, just to get to the desk to get her keys and refund.

When we finally got up there, they then tell us that the car is in the shop, they need to take it out and park it (clearly the 20 minutes we were shopping wasn't enough time), whatever, no problem. There's a bench, he says take a seat so we do.

Well 5 minutes turns into 10, then 15, then 20. At 20 mins I took a look outside and her car was nowhere to be seen. Took a good look through the parking lot. Car has roof racks and I am 6'6", it is is easy to spot. So someone working there took it for a drive. A long drive. Which is hilarious because the car came in with donut installed, the tire to be repaired was already off the car. I unfortunately didn't know the mileage before and my spouse didn't think to look.

I go back in and am waiting in line to speak to one of the three counter attendants when young tech came in with her keys and paperwork. Cool.

The keys sat on their desk for 10 minutes while none of the three payed any attention. Finally I said something, and it took another 5 minutes because they had to sort out their paperwork and then call a manager to authorize the refund.

Icing on the cake, three different people came to grab their keys while we were there. They all had to wait, but maybe 5 minutes tops.

In recap. No work done to car. Tech took a longer and extremely unnecessary test drive. Took over an hour to get keys back. Extremely disorganized, thoughtless and lousy customer service.

We will...

My recent experience here was troubling to say the least. I arrived and scanned my card, turns out it’s expired- no problem.

Went to customer service because I needed to change my address as well and create a new membership. The first lady I spoke with was fine and willing to assist me, but needed some identification that shows my new address (recently moved)- no problem.

Went and grabbed a document to accommodate this request, returned and ended up dealing with someone else at the till. She was nice enough, until it gets to the point where she is offering me a CIBC credit card.

It does not hurt to ask. I respectfully declined, this is where it got troubling.

She starts rambling about all the benefits and trying relentlessly to get me to sign up for this credit card, all the while she is laughing and her co worker is laughing with her. After I repeatedly said NO (many times) she continued to berate me, it was rude and embarrassing. Another coworker could eventually see that this was getting ridiculous and said her name to get her to stop.

I don’t know if these people are incentivized to sign up customers with credit cards, but this was over the top.

The part that bothered me the most was the fact that her and her coworker thought this was hilarious. Both of them laughing like children, she was not even pronouncing my name right even though there were multiple documents with my name written on them for her to set up my membership.

A credit card is a financial decision and not something people should just apply for every chance they get. I work with my banks and don’t need grocery store credit cards. You are an employee of Costco. Not a financial advisor. And no means NO.

This was completely unprofessional and left me feeling angry and frustrated, I just wanted to leave. This woman needs some more training and needs to realize that this is not a flea market where you can haggle and convince. This is a ā€œprofessionalā€ establishment and the employees need to treat it that way.

I am a client of your business and by doing business there I am supporting you, spending my hard earned money to sign up for your member ship and purchase your products. This woman was completely out of line.

I could say her name as I did note it but I don’t feel the need to publicly shame anyone. I just would like to share this message as a learning lesson for the employees here. The treatment I received was disrespectful, childish, and unprofessional.

I will take my business...

Very poor customer service. I live 3 hours out of the city. I had purchased a shed and got home to set it up, it was missing half of the supplies. Turns out it is box 1 of 2 boxes and the second one was in the warehouse of Costco. I had called Monday morning/afternoon to find out where the 2nd box was and it took them until Tuesday afternoon to finally have found it. I asked if they can ship it or compensate Gas but they shifted the blame on to us and flat out won't help us.

It is a 6 hour trip there and back, on top gas is expensive, and getting a truck to do this is difficult. So shipping it would be ideal.

The boxes should be strapped together, or at least beside one another. Not staggered in the store where we have to treasure hunt for the second piece. The lady at the till should have noticed that she only scanned one box and had mentioned it so we didn't leave with only half a product. They couldn't even find it until the next day and to say it was the customers fault is outrageous. They could very easily ship it, this is a multi billion dollar company. They're telling us they can't ship it for whatever reason! I asked for some sort of compensation where they could at least reimburse gas or fill our tank at their station due to it being their fault since they can't ship it. But the best they can do is a $25 gift card.

Like really? These people act like it comes from their cheque and they're really protecting daddy costco, for what? Ship it or compensate! It's not hard to figure out! I hope they're (two managers that didn't help) extremely inconvenienced on every purchase they make...

I recently had an Uber delivery pickup from Costco from this location , and my experience at the self-checkout was extremely disappointing. As this was my first time ever picking up from Costco, I approached the situation politely and was simply looking for some guidance. Unfortunately, the staff were not only unhelpful but raised their tone at me, despite my calm and respectful demeanor. This kind of rude and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, and it’s clear that the management at this location needs serious improvement. I will not be recommending this location to others, as no one should have to deal with such poor treatment. (p.s the woman with purple hair streaks needs to learn to respect and speak in a pleasing manner) I was calm and collective the whole time. Management needs to have a word with staff. I do not appreciate the passive aggressive behaviour and tone. Do better Costco!

149 Street Costco is often less crowded than other Costcos, but there can still be line ups at checkout at busy times such as Saturday afternoon. It is conveniently located just south of Yellowhead on 149 Street. If you cannot walk for a long time, they have scooter shopping carts you can use in store. One great thing about shopping at Costco is that they choose the best products, eliminating the need for comparison shopping. When they have product samples you can discover new products to love. Some of our favorite products are the Mac Sports folding wagon, BC cargo pants (which we call Costco pants), Morningstar black bean burgers, Kirkland nut bars, and Stonemill red potato salad. The pharmacy is great, as is the in-store restaurant. The gas bar is busy at rush hour, but go at another time for discounted gas. It's open 30 min after the store closes, so you can get gas after shopping.
