Chris( the owner), and his friend Dwayne, were kind enough to host us 20 min before closing time( which was extended to a whopping 30 min past closing time🤭) and let us enjoy the last stop of our winery tour. Coming from Europe, I didn't have any expectations per se, but we hit up some amazing family owned vineyards, and this was one of the best. I am so happy we rushed over in time! Their flights hit the spot! We tasted EVERYTHING! My favorite was the Dark Rose; kevin fell in love with the Paint Horse and walked away with 2 shiny bottles. The banter was great; that's how at home we felt! 😅 our last stop confirmed what we realized early on in our tour: avoid the posh flashy wineries. Visit the small family owned ones. Their menus are better, and the stories are better, too! Oh, they are all knowledgeable, alright, but not all are personable. There's more to wine tasting than stats... go for the memories!

P.s. I am pretty sure we will be remembered for years...

This family owned and operated winery and vineyard is everything you should be looking for in your visit to Prince Edward County. The wines are distinctive and a nice departure from the sometimes repetitive County wines.

The owners are friendly and helpful, generally a pleasure to chat with and super informative, volunteering lots of information about their methods, their unique form of weed control (adorable miniature sheep) and their wines.

The wines themselves are refreshing, memorable and delicious. I loved the partially wild fermented red. Even better was the extremely reasonable price (about $16/ bottle) another nice change from most of the local wineries.

This small winery should definitely be on your list while you're in PEC. I can't wait to...

We were looking forward to enjoying the experience at this local winery.

Mind you, the winemaker failed to provide a memorable customer service experience and did not create a welcoming atmosphere.

In addition, the flight of 4 was clearly listed at $10 and upon checkout the winemaker explained that we chose from some premium wines, and we were charged $16 for the 4 ounces.

The winemaker mentionned he told us about this, but we both had no recollection to support anything beyond what was on his chalkboard.

Great wine, but the experience was overshadowed with a poor reception and...

Delicious selection of wines, including full-bodied, flavourful reds, my favourites of those sampled during our stay in Prince Edward County. Chris, the owner, is friendly and very knowledgeable about his grapes and the wines. He doesn't just pour the wine, he is involved in each step if the winemaking from planting and caring for the vines and their fruit to manually harvesting each bunch, to press and age into his delightful products. Pleasure your palate by dropping in for a tasting and bringing a few bottles home to share with friends, we did!

We had a wonderful experience at Grave Hill Vineyards! It was our first time trying wine, and the owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. He took the time to explain everything in detail, offered us samples, and helped us choose the right bottles to take home. He even allowed us to take photos around his beautiful farm, which made the visit extra special. Overall, great service, friendly atmosphere, and a lovely place to explore. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy good wine and genuine hospitality!
