A few weeks ago, I was on the hunt for a delicious, healthy meal that wasn’t fast food—and I stumbled upon this incredible gem! Located just a short drive from Rossmore, Bantam welcomed me with warm hospitality the moment I walked in. The host greeted me kindly and led me to my table, where I eagerly browsed the menu. Naturally, I started with a glass of their house-made rosé, crafted right on their vineyard. It was smooth, slightly fruity, and absolutely delightful. As I soaked in the relaxed atmosphere, the cook stopped by for a chat. We had a great conversation about food, travel, and life—it was a refreshing personal touch that made the experience even more special. Then came my meal: the Chilled Noodle Bowl. Not only was it beautifully plated, but every ingredient was locally sourced, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. The ambiance at Bantam is pure tranquility. Soft, soulful music played in the background—Sade’s smooth voice stood out to me, adding to the serene, beachy vibe (yes, even in the middle of a vineyard!). Long story short—this place is a must-visit. If you're looking for a relaxing dining experience with amazing food and fantastic wine, Bantam is the spot. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really loved this little place at the vineyard. The view was nice in a quiet location. We sat inside the restaurant itself since it was too windy for umbrellas. Rollande served my table and she was so lovely. I have a son with a food allergy and we had a nice conversation about the topic. Food was amazing! Looked great and tasted great too. If you like seafood, you must try the hoagie. It doesn’t look big like a sub but it’s plenty filling. I would definitely visit this again when I pass through PEC again (which I will because it’s such a lovely area to explore).

Happy to get a great vegan meal out in the County! The cold noodles (delicately flavoured tofu and light filling noodles) and hummus plate (crostinis with hummus topped with pickled onions, olives, radish etc.) were particularly yummy. The pretzel was a bit dry and salad a bit plain but filled with fresh vegetables so no complaints. Overall very happy to have found this restaurant!

We had lunch at Bantam before we headed for a Wine Tasting. This place is a true hidden gem. Food was excellent. I had the salad, my partner had the Lobster Roll, my nieces had the chicken sandwich and we all enjoyed every bit. I noticed some fresh baked double chocolate cookies on the bar when we walked in and took some to go and they did not disappoint! Yummy! All of it was served by a very personable, friendly server. If you are heading to Closson Chase for a wine tasting, add some extra time to stop here for lunch or just stop here for lunch! You...
