What can we say, it's a beach. It's Sandpoint Beach. It's the only beach around Windsor. There isn't much in the form of amenities, although there's great parking. In the summertime it's packed. There's a hot dog hamburger stand on the corner of the parking lot across the street from the beach. It's kept pretty clean all year, and duly noted when water's are contaminated with algae. There's lifeguards on duty throughout the day and weekends of Summer. Of course bathrooms are open until fall. Hopefully next year some improvements will be brought to the beach. It would be great to see barbecue cookers in the Park area adjacent to the beach. It would be great to have a small confectionery stand to serve snacks and drinks, mix LOL. I do not recall the last year that the concession stand was actually in operation, a decade maybe?
The beach in Tecumseh is a better option that has clean, modern washrooms, an excellent concession stand across the road, But lacks a rinse station (as far as I've seen anyway).
Unfortunately it looks like the land south of the parking lot was sold a few summers ago...bye-bye to the much needed, and rapidly dwindling greenspaces...
