My first experience at the new Green Fresh location was horrible. Before I commented, I reviewed other 1-star comments and found out that I was NOT the only one customer being treated rudely by the specific cashier( the cashier line close to customer service, guessed it was line 1) .
My case was, yesterday when I tried to redeem the Green Fresh $50 e-gift card at cash out, the lady asked me in MANDARIN to scan the barcode in the Sunmi payment terminal, however my card was not read successfully. I tried again and still not working.i explained to her in Mandarin that i bought this e-gift card from Snaplli but could not redeem, I then talked to my husband in our dialect it didn't work in the vanier location too, guessed it could be the system or the card reader problem. Then the woman became very grumpy and suddenly talked to me in ENGLISH "I already told you to try again and you did, your barcode was not read and that's it ." I was like, excuse me? If i might bother other customers in line, she could simply ask me to get technical support from customer service. Why did we communicate all in Mandarin at the beginning but she suddenly change to English when a customer had difficulty at cashout? Her English was definitely not her mother tongue as i could hear her accent. Her attitude really ruined my expectations the new location.
Before i tried to argue in English, my husband paid right away and calmed me down in the car. I have seen Green Fresh move from the old Plaza to Vanier, and now one more location. I have been always happy with Vanier location. However, Bye-bye to Nepean location, the store image was badly ruined by terrible shopping experience I would prefer to drive a bit further to T&T but not return to Nepean Green...

This is not very easy fruit to find in Ottawa and we finally found it here. But it seems that the fruits we picked were unsold ones and then frozen. I guess this store does not want the fruits to go to waste, because they were expensive, so probably they freeze it when they realize it was starting to get bad. Then let it thaw and then re-sell it again. Or worst, they are selling rotten and hardened fruits. Very shady way to cheat customers. We initially thought they were just hard and still needs time to ripen. The fruit never ripened after a week. When we finally decided to open both fruits, they were all rotten from the inside. What a big waste of money and time.
As well, if you are going to put people to work as cashiers, put somebody who can speak English at least. We had a cashier whom I ask if they accept this type of credit card and instead, she starts talking to me in Chinese. Then she points me to go to customer service and we have a long line and I have lots of groceries already out from the grocery basket. For Christ's sake, we are in Canada. Did this grocery store expect that everybody who buy in a Chinese grocery store are chinese or can speak chinese ? I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS GROCERY...

I went here for the first time today.
Firstly, the hot food is actually really good. They had different items compared to T&T. And the price is very reasonable.
It's a pretty big store with a good variety of products including items from a local bakery which was great to see!
However, when I visited the seafood section I was met with a rude employee. I was taking pictures of the fish there and all of a sudden he yells at me like I made an obvious error and said pictures aren't allowed. Then he stared at me the entire time I was there like I wasn't welcome. When I asked to buy some fish he said it's sold out even though it was clearly not. I left and asked the customer service employees and they said there is no such rule about taking pictures and they apologized.
In any case I don't think I'll be visiting this store any time soon based on the experience I had visiting for the first time.
I generally don't leave negative reviews. But I think in this case it...
