Disappointing On Canada Day! Lately the events on Canada Days has been deteriorating over the years. Used to come here for 20 years but I think we will not again. Everything overrated, with "cheap" entertainment, expensive inferior food, and overcrowded midway. Maybe it's good for kids or young families who doesn't care if they get ripped off. And the fireworks? I had to admit they are still good however today I will skip them. Got scolded because we were trespassing through the area reserved for the fireworks crew who were preparing the stuff for tonight. Who the hell blocks the beautiful north pathway so damn early (1pm)! It has almost everything if not more, a splash pad, two play structures, a gazebo, a fountain, a hockey field (not one but at least two), a wonderful tobogganing hill or you can use it as a training incline, next to the Kanata Recreation center where so many activities are help there. And don’t forget the BBQ grills that built in and a couple of picnic tables and chairs, and extra benches here and there.
