Would get a better rating but the City went cheap and cut back on the original plans for this new dog park. 1. It should have been much larger. 2. Plans called for double gating for secure entry and exiting. Not done! Quite a few incidents of dogs getting out unintentionally due to no second gate. 3. Running water was promised. Planners said it would be brought over from the pool. Not done. Nine beautiful expensive tree saplings planted with water bags that have not had any watering for two months during all this hot dry weather. The trees are stressed losing leaves and Don't look healthy. The City Parks have been called numerous times about this and nothing has been done. I know this as I am at this dog park every day with my dogs and check the always empty water bags. Other than that it is a great little dog park, and as the word gets out more people are bringing their pets...

The option of gravel and grass is a nice touch but I found the grassy areas to be beaten down a bit and drainage is not so good so it can get quite muddy. There's no big/small sections and it's not double gated at entrance/exit which seems to be a standard to many off leash areas across BC. Decent off leash dog park.
