This viewing area feels like an afterthought because of it's location. It's right on the ground near where small planes taxi, so you'll get to see them fairly close but they won't be flying over you and they won't be moving quickly.
Bring sanitary wipes or your own binoculars to enjoy the planes on one of the takeoff/landing runways.
For plane lovers, this spot is quiet and fantastic to enjoy the details on smaller planes.
I must subtract 2 stars for charging to park at a viewing area and for the lack of information on when the next plane is leaving/arriving. You will have to look up the times online or inside Terminal 2 itself to know when you will see a plane.
Overall it's still a neat place to go, the concept was just half-baked when executed so you might come away annoyed you paid to park and see nothing but...
Read moreI’ve been asked to review a parking space so I thought I would make this the best review of a parking space.
Access - the access was great with multiple ways to enter not only the parking lot but the parking space itself. You could drive in straight, back in, drive in from the opposite side of the space, approach from the left, or even the right. Great selection here for those who want to make their parking experience a little more exciting.
Amenities - I was surprised to find separated waste disposal including recycling available at multiple locations throughout the parking area. Great job. Yay for the environment!
Capacity - I was here on the Monday of the august long weekend after a pandemic in 2021. Suffice to say it was insanely busy. And guess what? They had ample parking left!
Thank you for coming to...
Read morePerfect location for smaller airplanes and larger airplanes taxiing to 26L, or taxiing to/from the South Terminal, and the initial take off roll: the Air France picture. Too bad the rotation isn't visible for larger aircraft further down the runway. I wasn't able to experience the landings as I was only there for one day. Not a good spot for 26R arrivals as I was hoping, even with a 600mm I wasn't able to get good shots (there was also a lot of haze that day). The British Airways picture. Food and washrooms are available inside the terminal building just behind the viewing platform. There are also boards on the platform showing information on the common aircraft and the history of...
