This place is like a gem in the heart of Sault ste Marie and I am so glad to have had the opportunity to walk through the trails and see all that nature extends here. From forestry to the waters, and even the damns those beavers built. I also had the privilege of hand feeding some small birds which I thought was the sweetest memory yet. Read moreBy taking the trail on the Whitefish island you can get to a lookout by the rapid that separates Canada and USA. The rapid also is the waterway between Lake Superior and Lake Huron. Considering how big Lake Superior is you can imagine how much water is constantly rushing in the rapid.
And yes, there were a few fishermen catching whitefish along the rapid bank.
Also, along the trails to the rapid I saw quite a few beaver dams. Couldn't spot any...
