We had dinner here on a Saturday evening. Place has a cool vibe, inside the brick building that shares space with another restaurant and lounge area. There were good options for kids, adult and drink menus. We ordered the fish and chips -upgraded to Greek salad instead of fries, and prime rib dinner. Also ordered drinks, red wine and a Manhattan. The portions were huge. I had the fish and chips. Fish was delicious, but would have been nice if the batter was slightly more crispier. The Greek salad was great and was not expecting such a massive portion size. The prime rib as eaten by my companion, enjoyed it, but the prime rib lacked flavour which was slightly disappointing considering the price point. He enjoyed the Fries and Yorkshire pudding. Our server was great, she was polite, friendly, and was helpful if we had requests. I gave it 4 stars because of the prime rib lacking flavour esp at a higher price and fish batter too. The place wasn't super busy, yet had a few couples and a large group.

Alright so first off let's focus on the positives, good location with easy parking and a great looking space. The rustic theme appropriate one stop food vibe and the complex is great. Alittle confusing since the boiler room is tucked in the middle of it but forgivable. Good sized tables with lots of room to pick your preference and size. Easily sit six people at the large tables, no chair shuffle required. First visit was so so so been awhile since they opened and wanted to give them another shot before reviewing as I commonly do. Sadly no improvement, staff though friendly take twenty to thirty minutes to acknowledge you exist even at less then a half house. Food is slow taking forty minutes after ordering. They have some of the best equipment around but the execution is poor. Not sure if it's a bad recipe or just poor training. Pizza is often either undercooked or so greasy its a mess. I believe the equipment is not being cleaned properly as my food bottom was gritty and covered in charcoal from other pizzas. The crust is lacking any flavor and overworked. The sauce is good, nice spice to it but the rest of the ingredients have the taste of canned food and poorly executed. In short there is potential here, lots of it. They need to really revisit the basics.

Came here my last nite in SSM as I was there for work for only a week. This old paper mill is filled with so many great restaurants and I could tell this was the vibe in the Soo. Ordered the boiler room pizza (large) and the wings with chippers. The wood oven flavored in both the pizza and wings was a great addition to the rich ingredients flavours. The marinara sauce and onions were the ⭐️ of this iconic pizza. The wings came with a hot dauve, barbecue sauce (sweet), and a ranch dressing. I wish there were better sauces either tossed on the wings or on the side. Definitely would come back to this establishment to try some other menu items. The service was average but probably cuz a big group had walked in which slowed down service.

It’s a great restaurant for large groups! I love that it’s in such a historic building and the overall atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. I especially appreciated the waiter and it improve our dining experience! One thing that I would warn you is to go with an empty stomach because they don’t mess around with portions. The 18” pizzas really are 18” and we had trouble finishing one large (18”) and one regular (12”) between three adults. We also got the fried cheese curds with delicious marinara sauce but I don’t think it made too much of a difference. I’m not complaining but just setting expectations. It was overall a great experience and would come back again for other pizzas!

Order a pizza from this place tonight for take out. Waited 32 minutes and when I asked the cook who making them he said he knew nothing about my order. A few minutes later he goes to the other side of the bar and hands me a box containing a cold pizza and smirks as he says “sorry”. Pizza was cold and hard by the time I got back to eat it. Managed to somehow eat two slices because I had no other options. Don’t bother going to this place as the attention to detail leaves a lot to be desired. This was my first time and also my last time at this place. Here’s my ticket, give me a refund.

I came here on Friday night and ordered the Margherita pizza and it was tasteless and bland. I’m not one to complain so I reluctantly ended up eating it. I ordered the same pizza 8 months back and it was great.. so I am not sure what has changed since then, but our table did end up sending 3 drinks back as the wine was stale, and they weren’t good. I might be back, I just won’t order any of the pizzas or alcoholic drinks. The waitress was nice, and I liked the vibe of the place.
