This structure was originally deteriorating but had been nicely renovated the time I visited this small landmark. The Oculus Pavilion, originally a place for concerts, shows and other events now sits as a reminder of the history it carries over the years, as it sits in the heart of the Humber Park. There’s a small info board posted by the structure, and we had some fun playing with the echoes and sound projections that came out from shouting under the white plate with how it was formed. Sadly, other visitors are not so considerate and left a heap of trash and cans in the center of the Pavilion as well as more graffiti and vandalism around the back doors of the structure. With all things considered, the Oculus Pavilion is a great stop-over to check out if you’re walking through South Humber Park. It’s a bit tricky to get to by car, as the GPS was confused and had us park almost at the back of someone’s parking lot, lol. We had visited on a weekday afternoon, during autumn season was very peaceful with no crowds and nature all around. Aside from that, it's not much to look at and as another review mentioned, the water treatment plant odor wafts through from time to time.
At the time that I went the path was blocked off about 3 minutes past this point so you can walk up to the structure and walk back but not the entire path.
That being said there is an indigenous tribute stone in the forest nearby if you're trying to find a rebellious way to move forward...
