If I could give this place 0 stars I would but I can't. Let me start off by saying that this school sucks. I'm sorry for swearing but it sucks. And I'm speaking this from experiences, I went to this school for 6 years. 4 of my sibling still currently goes to this school. Anyway this school's doesn't care for their students. They allow bullying in this school. Be it students bullying students or te achers bullying students. They put my siblings and me through hell and preach peace and love because this place is and "islamic" school. Students have told my sibling to go off her self, they have thrown her belongings in the garbage, hit her, asked her very offensive and invasive questions. They have given her the worst 3 years of her life. Do you know what they did, nothing. This school is also blatantly sexist and misogynistic which shouldn't be an environment young children should be around. I mean come on, their excuses are because the Quran said so, because Allah said so (he clearly didn't). The teachers at that school don't care for the privacy of their students. I got a 40 minute lecture infront of the whole class by my teacher about something something that I didn't even do. She told the whole class not to follow my example. How messed up is that. That same teacher picked on my and only me for who knows what. This school no sorry this entire masjid is a toxic place for young kids. And the worst part of all this is that my parents still believe that school is "getting" better. What so you change the staff a bit to younger teachers. What does that do. Nothing . Still doesn't change anything.I'm sorry for the language that I'm using it's just that this place sucks so bad. If there's grammar...
Read moreMy children went to some top Islamic schools in GTA (based on the ranking of TDSB and Fraser), however, the sad reality is, all these money making machines are Muslim schools instead of Islamic schools, they do excel in secular education, but, they fail in cultivating Islamic identity. It was for this reason, I went to Salaheddin, since they have their priorities right, religion is given precedence over secular education without any compromise. Students are suspended or expelled on bullying or bad behaviour, something with any high-end Islamic school is lagging behind since they need continuous cash-flow. Salaheddin put great emphasis on manners and behaviour to raise religiously educated and practising Muslims those are capable of leading the community. Principal, admin and staff is very productive, knowledgeable and has vision for your children to achieve. Every person or institution has its pros and cons, but Salaheddin has so much good to offer to young minds and hearts that I being a responsible parent have never regretted my decision, may we have more people and institutions like Salaheddin whose primary concern is to make your child a better Muslim and human -...
Read moreAlhamdulillah! This is a great Mosque. I prefer going to Jummah prayer, there is always something new i learn from the khutbah. The Tarabeeh prayer is an excellent part of the Ramadan. But there is something off i noticed last night when i went for Isha and Taraweeh prayer. The person who called Adhan, he came to the gentlemen sitting just in front of me asked to take off his jacket and put it to the designated place. I noticed that it was really a corner place no one can stand or sit. Still i agree with the decorum of the mosque, but it can be handled a nice way. He was really rude and arrogant. Right after that the gentleman was so upset, he took his prayer mat with jacket and seen him leaving the mosque just a minute before Isaha prayer. It seems to me he targeted this gentlemen since he didn't ask anyone else for the same. This is house of Allah! Surely that person who calls for Adhan will get extra reward from Allah SWT for his noble work. But it scares me a lot when i see someone humiliate any human in the house of Allah. Hope you dont take it personally, I just expressed my emotion for the place where i love to go on daily...
