The Beach is not so people friendly as I remember. The Washrooms are closed permanently, its only July and already they're advising you not to swim, either its from Bacteria or High water levels. Oh And no more barbecues, music or FUN! I went anyways...Carpe Diem :)

Good playground and park for kids, beside the community center. Open field for the dogs, and good walking trails around the neighbourhood. Playground upgrades coming soon.

The West Rouge Conservation Area includes on one side, the Rouge River where it flows into Lake Ontario (on the other side of a train Tressel.) There's also a pedestrian crossing to the east side of the river which is in Pickering. It's an interesting and busy place. Swim in the water? Eat the fish? When there's a warning to not swim in the lake it can be due to too much fecal matter in the water, from geese or from the "water treatment plant" nearby. Some people, regardless of health officials, will eat the fish and swim when they feel like it. People have also jumped off the bridge and some people have not survived doing so. Just telling you what I know. Watch out for bicycles and bad drivers on...

Grew up going to this place. It's nice when it's not too crowded. Great to go for early morning walks. But now there are a lot of CRAZY PEOPLE no offense but certain people with different cultures have these rituals and they like to throw garbage into the water and they think they're doing something some kind of a prayer ritual I don't know what they're doing but they're throwing a ton of garbage in the water. And there's a lot of people having barbecues on the beach and if you want to go there nowadays you have to go early in the morning before all the people come out and have ((( big huge family reunions, and leave all their garbage, and loud music and smoky BBQ It's not what it used to...
