The Shelburne Museums are a true delight! There are 4, 3 on Dock Street Shelburne and 1 in Birch town. The Droy Shop tells the story of how Dory's were the work horse of the fishing industry. At one time Shelburne had 7 Dory shops! Of course the Sydney Mahaney story just adds the this experience! Next is the Ross-Thompson House. This was the house & business place of the Ross Brothers and them Thompson. The beauty is when the Ross Brothers sold it to the Thompson's they actually sold it to Dorcus the wife!
