There’s a bit of everything here at this little hidden park within a residential area. The best part of the park is that the playground is mostly IN THE SHADE which has been amazing for super hot summer days we’ve been having in Vancouver! I came at noon and the playground was in the shade due to some old growth trees in this area. There are real bathrooms at this park and also picnic tables and logs for sitting. I enjoyed the renewed park a lot, although the little mound is super slippery and my kid (as well as a few adults) slipped down lol. I think their shoes were not grippy enough because I did not fall so just wear runners! There is a little sandbox and small toddler slide, and someone put a little bbq and kitchen toy for pretend play. There are also two sets of swings; one for babies on the other side and one for older kids on the opposite end close to the bathrooms. The best part was the huge pirate ship for pretend play and a giant snail for photos and for climbing, although the snail is not always in shade and can sometimes get quite hot from the sun. The merry-go-round with seats was also cute as was the tiny little dolphin sitting thing (I forget the name!). The playground is small but just enough diversity for play for all ages, young and old. I really enjoyed the park and I saw many seniors meet up to sit at the tables farther away from the playground to play cards together; that was nice to see. There are also some workout equipment? I thought it was for kids but I think its for adults. Also a large field for sports; generally a very diverse little gem hidden in a residential area. Will come back again for a picnic and play especially on a super hot sunny day so we can be in the shade!

It's a great spot for family outings, with areas designed for children and families, including free fishing and crabbing areas, playgrounds shaped like boats, water fountains, and a splash pad. The park also features a pavilion for rent, walking and running tracks, and elevated viewing platforms overlooking the Gulf, making it ideal for outdoor exercise.

Such a wicked park. There is a pirate ship and an old school merry go round, and a giant snail. Also there are bathrooms, and a big beautiful field. It's also very peaceful , like a hidden oasis.

Between the soccer field and the playground is a weird marshy area that never dries up. Maybe for that reason they never mow the grass there. One time I was playing fetch with my dog friend Kai and the marsh swallowed up our ball. Another time my friend Steve crashed my drone after it had rained. He was able to rescue it, but his shoes were never the same after that. Last year when it snowed, we came and made snowmen in the park, but after rolling a huge ball for the base of our man we exposed a patch of the ground and discovered mud. It was steaming and smelt like something was alive...
