Watrous Manitou Beach Heritage Centre — Attraction in Watrous

I was so looking forward to spending time in watrous / manitou spring hotel. Sorry but it’s a dump. Everything needs attention. Very outdated, in disrepair, and dirty change rooms. Clumps of hair left in drains and not cleaned for the 3 days I was there. We had “pets” to wake up to in our bathroom….obviously living in the duct system…no fan in bathroom causing excess moisture and damage… toilets are from the 80’s (short) and knowing they cater to the elderly I believe that should be addressed. Pool area ….yikes… broken tiles and chipped walls… Restaurant there had good staff and food was decent and decently priced. They also catered to GF. I understand new investors own from Toronto. Phenomenal museum, most towns this size do not have a museum of this quality. This area has a much more interesting history than most small prairie lakes and it was a joy to learn about this history at this museum.
